  2. Really like the angels in bottom 2 photo's...which ones are they?
  3. Thanks Phoenix....got any photo's of your new Angel's?
  4. I have 6 Leopard Angels and 6 White Diamond Angels....loved the colour and finnage on the Albinos but those red eyes just turned me off buying them.
  5. One of those plants/mosses that grew like wildfire in my tank and looked awesome floated although I found it grew so densely that fry had to swim like little torpedos to get into it so decided to cover rocks/driftwood with it and after using netting from garden centre found that hairnets from the Korbond Beauty stand at local supermarket were easier to secure and way more attractive while waiting for Riccia to grow through it . However after a few months of an awesome looking display I started to notice that my fish were flashing/flicking themselves and avoiding the areas where the Riccia was so took a couple out and discovered that the top 1-2cms were still a lush green but underneath was like a rotten compost :-? so took the whole lot out and started again with the same result  so that was the end of Riccia in my tank BUT if you google Takashi Amano who is world reknowned for his aquascaping it might say what type of lighting he used and would probably recommend CO2.....GOOD LUCK cause if you get the right conditions it looks awesome Christmas Moss is also great used attached to rocks and driftwood and doesn't go rotten
  6. :bounce: :bounce: Congrats!! Know how long you've been wanting to breed an egg layer Keep us posted and photo's when they're not quite so microscopic would be cool

  9. Thanks Alan Great to know this as I'm happy to plug away and grow them out . Until I added this posting I thought I may have somehow stunted their growth :-? so am relieved
  10. Thanks Ryan and Olly ....really just needed to hear what you've both said, nothing like a little reassurance to know you're on the right track and not starving your fish to death
  11. Hiya Ryan Have done 3 very partial water changes over the last 10 days and 1 water change of about 20% today...didn;t want to do too many as I was told if the temperature fluctuates too much it can affect the development of their labyrinth?
  12. I have a batch of 2 week old Dwarf Honey Gold Gourami fry (approx 50 fry) which appear to be growing very slow BUT I'm only going by the growth rate of other fish I've bred. They fry are currently between 3-4mm...is this ok for their age? :-? Have been feeding microworms, decap and live baby brine shrimp. They are in a breeding tank approx 30w x 60d x 45h cms. Water level is approx 25cms deep, temp 26-27C and have well fitted lid. I did a google search to see if I could find any articles on growth rates solely for this type of gourami but drew a blank  . Hopefully someone out there has bred these and can help me please
  13. Do they jiggle in the morning, jiggle in the evening, jiggle at supper time?
