UPDATE: Have taken photo's of the stalk that grew out of my tank and was about 1.5metres with the fowering plantlets.

PLEEEEEASE... Does anyone have a female Nig of breeding age I can buy so I can put with my 2 males....PM or email me please Reckon I 've pestered just about everyone I've been told has Nigs but you just never know

When I had 2 pairs of Cockatoos in my 4ft tank they paired off ok but there was a dominant male and he was not going to have a bar of another male in the tank and chased the other male relentlessly round the tank so I removed one pair to a breeding tank. Also the female when she's in breeding colours can be quite aggressive towards other fish even ones a lot bigger than her and less aggressive dwarf cichlids like the bolivians/butterfly rams might get really stressed. Guess it will depend on what cichlids you decide to get and how many Good Luck!!

Awwww...ain't they cute How much damage did the male do to your hand lol You're doing so well with the rams, many would be very envious as I know some who've spent lots of time and money with very little or no success....GOOD LUCK!!

Hiya Amy Well done with the rams Yes! I've used green water, micros and also a little egg yolk watered right down and just a drop or two depending on how many fry you've got (does the same job as the liquid fry feed you buy in the petshop but way cheaper ) More photo's PLEASE

I used NZ Couriers agent (Toyota Dealer) in Upper Hutt last week and sent fish to Christchurch, fish were picked up while I was there at 4.30pm and arrived at house in Christchurch 6.00am next morning ..Close to where you live also otherwise the NZ Couriers Depot in Lower Hutt is on Hutt Road about half way between Lower Hutt and Petone

Hiya Paul.....I'm in same area as you and have guppy juvies outside in old bath with WCMM for almost a month now and growing well...mind you I've got oxygen weed and water lillies which give fish shade and bath only gets sun until about 2.00-3.00pm so doesn't rise above 27C...GOOD LUCK!!

Yes it does help Navarre..Thanks! Your info answers why, when I planted 2 plants the same size at the same time, one is almost the same size as when it was planted and the other is a triffid I replanted the pup in my 3ft tank about 6-8 weeks ago and it's just started to take off.

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO HELPED IDENTIFY THE TRIFFID Will see what the flowers are like when they bloom and post a picture before I decide what to do with this Marbled Queen Sword plant...probably just cut the new stems as they grow as I really like it as a central plant in my tank and helps with land claims with fish when they arrive lol Happy New Year
