  1. I was lucky enough to visit Wonderworld 2 of the 3 weekends during my stay in Rotorua. Below are some photo's of their massive marine fish collection...decided to focus on marine as they have soooooooo many tanks of freshwater tropical and coldwater fish, most of which we get to see at our local pet shops. My photography skills aren't that great but hope you enjoy the photo's :-
  2. Best of luck in the weeks to come all you Cantabrians affected by the earthquake.
  3. I'm going to be in Roto Vegas for 3 weeks from tomorrow doing a Wellness Course and just wondering if there's any fishkeepers/breeders up that way I could visit during the weekends I'm there? Look out Wonderworld here I come
  4. :bounce: Congrats Siran & Carlos :bounce:
  5. I wish I had your camera P44 as I had about 20 of those flowers floating on my 4ft tank 2 weeks ago.
  6. :bounce: Congrats Jennifer :bounce: They are so cute
  7. Congrats and well done :bounce: Keep the photo's coming
  8. OMG!!! Don't want MAf knocking on my door ...I thought if you'd always had it in your tank it was ok, have no intention at all of selling it either  I'm really disappointed that most of it has melted as it looked awesome and knowing it was my own fault made it worse plus knowing I can't buy more . Time to get some more Dwarf Sag I reckon...why it's called "dwarf" has got me stumped when it grows so tall, some in my tank is 3/4 the size of the val .
  9. Thanks phoenix...hope it works as the tank looks quite bare now and not as many hidey places for fish
  10. Thanks for replies . If I cut back the val will it grow again or shall I just bin it all
  11. Trimmed and tidied plants in my 4ft tank after a bit of neglect over the last 3 weeks and as I hadn't done as many water changes during this time green algae had set in so after asking a few people I was advised to double dose the tank with Flourish Excel. Now 8 days later just about all the lovely tall forest of Staight Val has melted  . I have a couple of questions: Was it the Flourish Excel that melted the Straight Val??...this is the only new thing I've done to the tank for months so I'm only guessing this is the cause. Will the plants recover and grow again as I know Straight Val is one of those banned plants now so can't be bought anywhere?
  12. 13. Just what inner city Wellington needs but the council would procrastinate for the next 20years  .
  14. I've kept guppies and mollies together is freshwater tropical setup with no salt for last couple of years with no problems at all and no cross breeding .
  15. I have a magazine article on Lamprologus signatus and some of your fry look a little like them.....found the following link: http://www.fishbase.org/summary/Species ... hp?id=8621 Be interesting to see what they grow out like
  16. Definately not for me but can see how people who are more into impressing others with the Wow factor would buy them
  17. Thanks Simon.....will pop the Madagascans in and keep an eye on them
  18. Thanks Simon .....Are your Boesemani full grown adults as Madagascan adults are smaller and more peaceful than Boesemani so hopefully it should be safe if you've got yours all together?
  19. Your tank is absolutely beeeeeautiful .....wish I hadn't sold my Boesemani's now  , the males are stunning when they get their adult colours .
  20. I have a 3ft tank with Forktail, Spotted and Threadfin Rainbows and was wondering if it would be safe to add the 3 adult Madagascar Rainbows from my community tank or would the smaller rainbows be eaten ? And YES I have googled and looked for help on the internet but couldn't find anything

They are available as I got some of the Spotted, Forktail and Threadfin varieties a few weeks ago...very pretty fish and all those blue eyes flashing round the tank at night are awesome . Try Redwood Aquatics http://www.redwoodaquatics.co.nz/
