  1. Yes Alan its definetly different! She was walking around like she was in a straight jacket! All 3 have shed now and looking great
  2. Huge thank you to Emaytiti for intrusting me with his beautiful Trio Of Leo's. They are settling in quickly and one is already gobbling down a few mealworms A hungry female! 2nd Female - close to shedding it looks The Male is abit shy so he will have to wait for his photo shoot
  3. Hi All, Can anyone tell me how they safetly ship there Leo's across country? What do you need, what shipping place do you use etc.
  4. Hi All, well I have been trying to put together an enclosure for a small colony of Leo's and this is were I am at so far! Just waiting on food bowls, a ceramic bulb and my thermostat to arrive and then I will attach the cage/ceramic heat emitter to the roof - found a nice thermostat overseas that has a day/night function so It can lower the temp automaticly in the evening's.(I have a therm/hydro meter for the cool side too) Anyway here are a few photo's Lots of hides 2 warm hides + Humid hide on the edge of the tile
  5. Hi all, Just wondering if you could feed live white worms/earth worms or blood worms to Leo's?
  6. would this one be ok? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Thermostat-F ... 3cc58f6eb5
  7. What Morph do these look Leo's look like they are?
  8. Would a Thermostat on a ceramic bulb not blow it pretty quick with the constant on/off as it regulates the temp? The Reptapets thermostats look pretty good
  9. May be a dumb question, but can you put a dimmer on a Ceramic heat bulb to increase/decrease the heat intensity?
  10. thanks Morcus, that sounds simple enough - were can you purcase reptire carpet from - my local stores dont seem to sell it. I am now looking into getting a REPTILE ONE SABURRA 120 WOODEN VIVARIUM BLACK as my main housing/breeding and a RTT900 REPTILE TERRARIUM BLACK to house juviniles. Anyone have them or have used them?
  11. lights? from what I have read all over the internet from other breeders is they don't require any lighting and many keep them in tanks???? as they are not baskers, but absorb the heat from there belly's, not backs...?? Tiles seem to be a popular substrate - heatpad underneith with a thermostat. but I guess everyone has there own preferences in what works for them. I saw someone using an inferred light with a dimmer just to keep ambiant temp at the right level...
  12. hmmmm if I made a mesh lid would that not help?
  13. Hi Everyone, Just wanting to know if anyone could post some photo's of there Leopard Gecko housing. I am very keen to add some of these neat looking guys to my household and once experienced enough keen to give breeding them a go. I currently have a 240L Jewel Aquarium that I want to convert into housing Gecko's(Perhaps a few females) and a 60L Elite Tank to house a Male until breeding age. Can anyone tell me how they have there heat system set up and how to maintain appropriate humidity/temp. Also what Substrate does everyone prefer? I saw some of these tiny juviniles in our Local petshop and they just had them on sand - I also didn't notice any damp nests for them(just upside down ice cream container on a heat pad which was directly under the sand?...) I have never owned Reptiles before, so completly new to this all and want to make sure I have the best possible set up for these guys. Many thanks and I appreciate any start up advice to this new venture
