  2. lack of light and moisture are normally the culprits . its fine in there once its dead tho will stay moist and take a long time to break down , i have a picther plant growing in dead stuff in my frog tank . the only live stuff i have is growing on a small branch i found in the wetland in front of our house a small spray of water every few days keeps it alive

    seahorses

i used to keep seahorses when i was at primary school a long time before i knew what a skimmer or a chiller was . i had them for about 2 yrs had 17 of them and a little skate shrimps a few small estuary fish and a few crabs . the seahorses gave birth probably 30 times (quite cool to watch) however no young ever survived . the first thing they do is go to the surface to fill up their air bladder or something then they grab hold of something normally each other preventing 1s that havent surfaced from doing so killing them they tend to form little rafts which unfortunatly makes it easier for other inhabitants to pick them off. the next thing that tends to kill them is bbs egg shells they choke on these
  7. i wouldnt be too worried . id liken them to cats some will come running if u shake the bikkie box even if they have already eaten others wont even bat an eyelid 2 busy relaxing . the active 1 probably just has an appetite , frogs dont do heaps unless they are hunting or going in between water and land. they can also go a long time without eating much and tend to be even lazier when they are well fed!
  8. i couldnt tell u what type i have onlt that it was small and grew rather large very quickly
  9. heya sorry i just noticed ur post when i noticed the flowers it already had rather lagre plantelets i hadnt already noticed so im not sure , ii ended up cutting the plantlets off into separate plants and giving them away at the TT tank crawl as i was due to shift i was slack with CO2 and lighting so the sword suffered a bit and was unplanted for bout 2 weeks! it is now planted in white sand and has bounced right back and has heaps of plantlets again
  10. i have this 1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarracenia_purpurea and this 1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarracenia_minor i guess the key to them is full sun and keep the soil wet (pot in a dish of water , if all else fails put them outside and keep the soil wet they will die back in winter and have new growth in summer most species will handle frost some even handle snow
  11. yes i agree i read in a book about ghosts today a qoute from a medium channelling a ghost who said when people start to look for things in other worlds they end up creating them in their own conciousness and before long they are looking at themse4lves in the mirror , i think it was talking about more negitive haunting experieces but evn though i have witness a friend working as a medium and i believe it doesnt it seem wierd they are telling u stuff u already know(age eye colour , personal details etc) and then telling u stuff u want to hear ( ie that they are happy now, have passed over finally etc) could it not be that a medium is tapping live peoples conciounesses without realising and making sense of it for us?

  18. to add more oxygen move ur eheim filter up so the outlet agitates the surface of the water. airpumps dont actually put oxygen in the water , the bubbles rising make a current which moves water across the surface where it can absorb oxygen
