ok got that sorted how many will i need want to light a 100l tank dosent have to be 2 intense not for plants or anething but enuff to see the fish im thinking 4 x 3watt but then again i dont really know how bright this will be i wont be using diffusers so i can get a metal halide like point of veiw lighting effect where the light ripples across the sand on the bottom

olly, where did u grow up frostfish u dont see them all that often

sounds like the stuff just had it in my frog tank and in the old minow tank died off after a while tho

another interesting plant i have seen is a type of duckweed but bigger with longer roots and its red on top fadind to green .redwood aquatics gave me some a while back all gone now tho

u should find out the salinity of the water theyu are in now and try to match it

cool there is some of that on trademe ,not too keen on java moss tends to grow every where over the tank would 2x 30w tubes be enuff to attem pt water lillies or another bigger plant remember the sand is white and does a lopt for reflection of light?

or use seed raising mix this has no added nutrients

hi just after ideas for plants for my 160l goldfish tank , there are fake plants in there already but want to get some real 1s lighting is 1x30w tube could be upgraded to 2x30w substrate mt somers sand . i want something different other thasn oxy weed or val maybe a large plant like a waterlily or something . have also thort about using twisted willow branch as these will grow roots under water and leaves out of the tank ane ideas appreiciated ps plants that they are less likely to eat would also be a good starting point

soak it in bleach that should kill it off

salt can help whitespot but the tonic will kill it quickly but will turn ur water blue temporarily just follow the instructions carefully and make sure u remove ane carbon from ur filter otherwise it wont work

i seen some garbage gang stickers today dont know if this counts but i havent seen them in years

i think they had eels last year just not the sharks
