    Fresh Lettuce

if theyt arent eating it all boil it for a few mins in a cup in the microwave they will go crazy for it nb if u have algae on rocks or driftwood u can boil it in a large pot(even black hair algae after boiling ur fish will pick it clean.
  4. if u ask the police to veiw ane information they have on u u will get ur crimainal record and thats it if they have other information ie reports on suspected activivties they will deny they exist . so the privacy laws dont really exist because these documents on come into 'existance' when its court time. also remember some maf depts have more power than the police to seize equipment and conduct searches
  5. silver sharks will eventually get 2 big as well bristlenose plecos are a good choice for a sucker fish look almost like a big pleco that will get to 40cm but they only gt around 12 or 13 cm . take into account stocking levels and plan for the future . 1 cm of fish per a litre is the ratio i think(some1 correct me if im wrong) and i think a ar620 is 160 l (again correct me if im wrong) so that mean 160 cm of fish but does not mean 4 x 40cm plecos either! big fish need big tanks and some small fish will get big fast Take silver dollars for example so weork this out on the maximum size the fish will get ,not at what it is when u buy it. the other thing is to avoid aggressive species of fish unless the tank mates are able to handle them. so pays to do ur research . having guppies and neons and other small fish (or having angels bigger gouramis etc) can limit the variety of tank mates somewhat as the small fish arent going to last . find some fish u like the look of on the net or in an lfs and find out if they are compatible in terms of water chemistry(no use putting a discus with africans etc) , behaviuor and size of the tank if u get stuck on certain type ask on the forum by the way great to see ur native tank doin well and that u have contracted MTS
  6. with ur koura and inaga syphon a bucket or two of water put inaga in 1 koura in other completely drain tank get some 1 to help u lift it leave gravel in if possible and get it set up again at new place asap use tap water leaving enuff room for buckets of water with fish in it to fill it start filter chuck fish in and do regular water changes during 1st 2 wks
  7. i guess its no different from pet shops selling them just depends where u are getting them from i guess
  8. legally u can catch the introduced speices though im not sure bout wether u can catch them in say a national park or nature reserve tho. u are probably never likely to see a native frog or its tadpoles so u can pretty much say any tadpole u see will be an introduced species. however the ethics of collectingfrogs or tadpoles is questionable as frogs are an important part of the eco system and already their habitat is under treat from logging and draining of wetland etc also Chytrid fungus is killing a lot. a lot of our introduced species are also endangerd in austrailia look at these links http://sopa.clients.squiz.net/Visiting/Whats_on/events/venues/brickpit_ring_walk http://www.otago.ac.nz/zoology/research/bishop/frogs/ not saying its wrong but we need to be careful about collecting animals such as these when we dont know where the population is at
