they was a few nice pieces of already sunken and waterlogged pieces in the ashley river when i was there a week ago you would probably be struggling to find a piece like that there tho , maybe if u walked quite far up the river

angels would grow to big for this tank and sometimes eat eat small neons etc. they are a nice looking tank tho maybe some dwarf gouramis of some variety and coolie loaches!

if they are big enuff you could try hand feeding them something that moves a lot like a moth or blowfly they are normally hard to stop once they start

they like a bit of salt (can handle full marine) but none the less can be considered a community fish in purely freshwater but the water needs to be in good condition

i have 4 leopard danios outside in a bath the two females are very fat and i catch daphnia and water boatmen and put them in all the time

i was gunna ask about the same thing ive caught them in my creek but nt really obsevred them i went to the ashley river gorge the other day and seen thousands of them along the bank it the shallow water(also very warm ) biggest i seen was 2.5cm

i have had the busiet 3 days of the year why is it when we have fine weather everybody comes to the dump . being holidays u would think they would be out doing more interesting things instead of bothering me because they cant read the signs that tell them where things go .

you have to wonder google cork bark backgrounds . im sure this is similar maybe the chips of cork in a newewr wine bottle top are held together by toxic glue? the 1s that arent made from chips of cork should be ok (soaked for a few weeks to remove residue wine maybe)

if the shaft is missing tho the impeller will still spin it just wont be able to get up enuff speed to pump the water . do what i did and hook it up to a powerhead ive got 350lph1 if u want it

let me guess its missing the steel shaft the impeller goes on and you got ripped too

the ehiem media is really good what some people do is only use biological media and filter wool (no coarse sponge). having mostly biological media in the filter and a layer of filterwool before it . yes it does block up rather quickly but you will know when its blocked as there wont be much water running thru the filter. the more biological media you have the better and the filter wool will keep it clean to do its thing. filter wool does harbour beenfical bacteria but nowhere near as much as the eheim stuff so changing ur filter wool when its blocked and not touching the biological media wont upset the bacteria too much. its also cheap

i did a lot of research into what to use a while back in this post , i was concerned about using acylic paint as i have no idea what paint was made from i rung a scientist at resene he couldnt garentee it wouldnt leach out over time he said most acylic paint now is low VOC so may be alrite but suggested tessting it with cheap fish(i didnt like that idea), a few other reps i spoke to told me not to use their products unless i wanted chips with my fish (these were various poly paints and some epoxies) . i spoke about the low VOC paint to 1 rep who told me its used on roofs that are used to collect rainwater for drinking, i reminded him that 20 years ago lead paint was used for the same thing. rockwork i think this goes to show no amount of researech can beat experience i certainly think household paint is a lot easier to apply than epoxy

depending on the design (note there are lots of tips out there for reducing noise ) u know the noise ur bath makes when u pull the plug out it wont get ane worse than that! lol u mite have to play around to get it to an acceptable noise level for ur living room but putting it in the bedroom isnt reccommended

have u thort about what you are going to coat it with and wether it will be strong enuff to resist there claws?
