  2. PENCILFISH!! my new fave!! We have 4 male gourami in a 300L and they don't fight unless they're building bubble nests!
  3. Still, I'd ask Stella. They look harmless though, and if they eat algae - who's comlaining and CAN I HAVE SOME? lol
  4. Or you can run a hose outside and syphon it str8 on to the lawn and then plug the hose in and turn it on. my 400L takes me 15 minutes, and thats thorough. Takes longer when snails keep getting stuck in the syphon hose. :-?
  5. there's another one thats like what your talking about.... but I can't remember what their name is. They have a small, light brownish tubular shell. Your best bet would be to ask Stella. My next question is have you put any rocks or plants in your tank recently that came from a pond or river?
  6. sound like Caddisfly lavae google them and let me know

  9. post this in the private trade and exchange might get some better luck
  10. I want them too! I love the canaries that look like wild green finches! and Also i saw in a shop a canary crossed with a goldfinch! was soooo awesome. Still jealous. But my aviary will be huge and landscaped complete with built in waterfall/water feature. So basically a slice of paradise in a cage and I'm going to have a patch of dirt in it where I will plant oats/wheat and things alike so they can grow and eat them much like in the wild. Ohhh im so excited I've been planning it for sooo long! What kind of finches are you getting?

    I had dibs on firsts!
  19. Yay get females! they're browny grey colour but I think they're cute. Odd that your males are building a bubble nest with no females, though he could just be excited about his new surroundings or your temperature is higher than hes used to and he thinks its breeding season. But bubble nests are fun :bounce: That is all.

  21. I have 20 odd shrimps with 8 goldfish, paradise fish, leopard danios and white clouds. Also can be kept with hill stream loaches and plecos without any issues. My goldfish are quite large and don't bother the shrimps at all, they are fast movers and escape the fish. Though they are never bothered by them. Awesome to have they are often out during the day too
