  1. That's because it's not an SD card. It's a CF.
  2. Yeah, buy a card reader. MUCH faster. And buy a bigger memory card while you're at it. 1 gig is practically useless. That's like 1 picture at max resolution and best quality.
  3. How long ago was it shipped? Could take a day for it to show up in the system. I've got something I paid $50 shipping for and it's been sitting on "Has left Miami" for the last 5 days. WAIT! I just checked again! It's in NZ! Woohoo!
  4. He's probably glad he doesn't need to get out through the gate...
  5. Heh, "Not really native." They're not native, no not really about it. Even worse...They're Australian!
  6. I'm not sure I believe there is such thing as good coffee...I've only found one coffee that I wouldn't describe as nasty. And that's instant coffee... Well, more specifically small scoop of coffee, REALLY big scoop of milo...
  7. It's not a real person until it turns 18, gets a job and moves out. Before that it's some sort of parasitic primate lamprey hybrid thing.
  8. I dunno how you'd manage that. I've had a 300L with 500 watts of lighting and a big fan blowing across the surface and I only managed to evaporate at most around 5-6L/day.
  9. Except the voltage would have sagged below a usable level before the full battery capacity was used up, making it need 4 replacements a day. (That's internet speak for quit correcting my stupid math errors.)
  10. That's not evaporation, that's a leak.
  11. Why? Running it off batteries would cost MUCH more than off mains power. You'd have to be replacing the batteries every couple days at best, likely more often than that. Say there was one running off like 6 rechargable AA NIMHs and say it only used 2 watts then the batteries would last a max of about 8 hours. (That's current draw of .3 amps and capacity of 2.5 amp hours) Do you want to replace batteries 4 times per day? There are C and D cell nimhs, which would give you like a day and a half with similar setup, but why when you could just have a little cable and not have to replace anything?
  12. Yes, it's winter for the entire southern hemisphere. The seasons are reversed. It's funny that a lot of people don't know the seasons in the southern hemisphere are opposite of the northern. I used to answer phones for Tourism New Zealand. One July I got a call from a woman that went something like "Hi, I'm visiting NZ in a week, what's the weather like there?" "Well, here in Wellington at the moment it's about 40°F, it's been in the low 50°s during the day. Further north will be warmer, south island will be colder." "That's COLD!" "That's about normal for mid winter." "It's winter?!?" "Yes." ".....Oh *#@*!"
  13. Should be close enough for the internet.
  14. Huh...only tours from the looks of it. $60 for adult/ $30 for brats. Not so bad, I think.
  15. I bought mine from Wellington Water Filters, they're based out in Kapiti. They were the best price I found.

Ok, let me add you to the list of people that breed guppies and the people that breed bristlenoses...Now, where did I leave the list... Ah, here it is.
  17. There are laws against having a boyfriend whose parents are also your parents.
  18. Yes, and one of those is ensuring that people are well informed. Which allowing only positive comments does not encourage.
  19. They're generally considered to be one of the most difficult and delicate of the freshwater fish.
  20. Where's the snow? All I see is a light frost? THIS is a proper snow...

    Super Selco

Most people feed baby brine shrimp, not gut loaded adults.
  22. Could just be a very large poop which will eventually break off. Or something like a prolapsed colon which will kill him eventually.
