    Ones from the LFS are great if you like paying 5 times as much for a different packaging.

    Which is not much more than the damage that is done by a loose cat or dog. And I'd bet there are several hundred thousand times as many cat and dog owners that let them loose than ferret owners that do.

    THe more of them that people have as pets and they don't let them out to eat the world the fewer there are out eating everything.

    There's a diference between having a non-native animal under control as a pet so it doesn't do any damage and having an invasive, destructive pest as a pet(Like how most people keep their cats)

    Here are a few I've taken with my 5-10 year old digital camera(Nikon 995) with the stock lense. The spider was only a little bit bigger than the aphids.

    I have a couple breeding pairs of common $5 moneys for sale. $20 per pair. Also a breeding pair of rare red scaled $100 moneys for $500.

    That was a waste of 3-4 minutes. I'd be really annoyed if I was actually planning on doing anything useful with that time.

    That was inside, with underfloor heating. I think outside it was -5° at night the entire week before.

    Hmmm, I left one of my tanks unplugged last winter for about 2 weeks and didn't lose any. It was at 15° when I found it on a warm day.

    Unless I've missed one(Which is very possible) there's been a grand total of one in about the last 3 years.

    If you don't even have a livestock in it, there's no point in NOT draining it and doing it right.

    Just because we know it's food doesn't mean the fish does. You'd probably starve to death too before eating gravel if you didn't know it was actually some kind of edible pellet food dropped there for you by aliens.

    Really? Wierd, most powerheads the impeller will spin a random direction, but it doesn't matter which direction it spins.

    Nope, insurance doesn't cover livestock.

    Multiboxes cost $5 and take 30 seconds to replace. And you're stressing over just 4 plugs? My marine tank had, if I'm counting right, 20 plugs on 4 different power strips. 4 plugs is nothing.

    That's not overfeeding, that's underwater changing.

    Are they looking really skinny? If not, you're feeding them enough. Are they leaving bits around that end up getting all fuzzy? If they are, you're feeding them too much.
