no need to remove if nothing eats them, if you do just scrape off and put in a floating container with tank water. good eggs are clear / tan colour. bad eggs are white and should be removed, never put an airstone by mine but up to you. Good luck

Yeah they are, for some reason the first lot i was collecting was fungus straight away but these newer eggs seem to be ok. hopefully i'll have a few new fry soon. Hopefully if theyre hatching well, i can offer some eggs soon for ppl to have new blood.

Yay, after a weekend away fishing I came home to find 1 egg with eyes. Have been collecting since my last thread and putting into container with meth blue. Had about 15? before friday and only 3 were unfertile last night. Can see the little nucelus? (sml bubble and clusters) inside the others too. Will have to get the bbs going again, well, maybe just a couple rather than a 1/2 spoon full.

I've locked my keys in the car while it was running.......... on my way to work .......... on my birthday ........at 5.45am!! pre- cellphone era, do you know how many ppl are awake in a tiny tiny town at that hour? Lucky i lived on the main rd and flagged down a truck to call the AA for me.

All the eggs are going blue. Shame really as theyre cool fish. They will eat from your fingers and all. Will keep an eye out in the newsletter for some eggs, of if anyone has a few spare? - Gold Australe - Happy to pay etc or can swap for some brine shrimp eggs?

Hmm, the females like to chase the male too. 4 blue eggs in the container now. Just added another 5 from the mop. Blue ones will be infertile huh. Do the females just lay eggs by themselves or do they need a male to get them in the mood? 8)

ok, collected 4 eggs this morning (squished 1) and have put in a container with some meth blue. I think their change of tank has done them wonders as theyre still zooming through the mop now. poor boy will be knackered.

They are Australe Golds. Adult, 1 male and 4 females, had them not quite a year. Happy as and love food. Just cant get past the egg stage. Might be me tho :roll:

Was putting them in a seperate container but nothing was happening. Now, ie; last couple of days, just collecting and placing in a sectioned off part of the tank onto some ambulia. No idea if anything is happening to them as i cant see them. Will just look out for some wrigglers in a few days.

Have had a bit of a change around with the tank my killies were in. Had a mop in there and was taking it out every now and then, only to be finding 2-3 eggs at a time (and a few snails :evil: ). Have been feeding them tubifex a bit and leaving the mop in there, now collecting 3-4 eggs a day. Was wondering if the male was infertile?? as nothing has become of any eggs collected, so now ... hope this works... all eggs are going into a partitioned part of the tank with camboba and java moss to float on. Only thing is there's not much water movement. Is this necessary?

Um, not too sure if this is correct but i was told not to blow in the bag as you blow Carbon Dioxide, not oxygen. I have always used my pump to blow up the bags. (squeezing the tops etc) Plastic box sell decent sized poly boxes for $10 if theyre for your oscars. Something fishy will sell you good fish bags or on TM, ppl have them for sale there. I just use freezer bags, doubled and tie the corners if theyre small fish. Phil Collis on here sells the heat pads about $35 for 10 i think. or i have some new 40hr ones around, i brought off him. Let me know if you need any help.

I've just finished the book and loved it. Great book choice and was one of those where you had to know what happens next. Might get some earlier nights in now :lol:

Yeah, now that you mention it, right at the start i moved a bushy plant but these fish are so tiny. perhaps they are pigmy fish. :roll:

At the start of summer i put my 6 WCMM into the tub outside, as i have done before. today i couldnt reist having a few scoops to see what was in there. I pulled at least 60 bubs, well 1/2 grown and downwards to tiny fry. but there were also 1 shubunkin and 1 looks to be a bronze goldfish? How did they manage to get in there? theyre only tiny <1cm. i have a netting cover over it to stop brds and cats. I raised some shubunkin fry around oct /nov and theyre in a different tub, again with a net cover. Got me beat really? :-?

I gave up slowly when i found out i was pregnant, hubby said he would too. Ha! then he tried hypno, smoked about 3 rollies before he went in, i had to sit in on it too cause he was worried the guy would fry his brain or make him do stuff :roll: he went home, had a shower, craved the rest of the day. Started smoking again the next day. So i made him give me what it cost for the hypnosis and went and spent it on baby things. I know it sounds corny.... but: The power of belief is strong. HI again looking at purchasing an Asus L3000D, laptop, with 256 MB. can you get them upgraded (if this is the correct term) to the 512MB? or more? if so, where do i take it for that and roughly how much does it cost? Just asking as have been recommended to get a certain memory size on the computer for what i want it for. thanks in advance

:lol: :lol: Ha ha, they look like tiny black slithers. like an eyelash, usually stuck on the glass for a bit then free swimming amongst the plants. that is if you have plant cover??

why dont you look in the garden centres for their marginals etc? there are some real nice ones that can be planted on the edge, 30cm, down to 1mtr? worth a look for ideas anyway.... mind you dont know if many are natives.. will the mudfish know?? :lol:

usually cold water changes work well.
