  1. HMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm ............................ yep
  2. Iv'e been told ...strings are getting handed out at the door. Hubby wanted to wear a lab coat, rubber gloves and a head light and go as a G-cologist  hmmmm. Like the idea of goth for me.
  3. HA ha, cant imagine that. Although Ali G is funny
  4. Thanks Ryan, will keep that in mind. Whats a G-Unit Phoenix? Granny's been taken.
  5. Got a 21st to go to soon with the theme "G". Have a few ideas written but need to find costumes for me, hubby, 3yr daughter and 1yr son. Thinking either goldylocks or gypsy for daughter (she wants to wear a dress). Have some orange material and could make a 'goldfish' costume for son  any other ideas? Prefer to make rather than buy so a gorilla is out (too much sewing)
  6. is it 1pm again? hubby is possibly going hunting so i thought me and the kids would take a drive to palmy. Ok to bring them too? one will probably be asleep not set in concrete but strong possibility, the other option was to go to Hawera to see Dad .
  7. pic of the tank i would guess, would like to see it too. Will a few males be ok together too?
  8. Australe only. Just thought it'd look good with 20-30 odd swimming around.
  9. My large community fish are soon going to a new home. I love glowlight tetras and was hoping just to fill the 3ft with them (and residing bristlenoses). But then i thought...........hang on! my killies are breeding ok, why not just start releasing them into the big tank? Would they be ok with the tetras? there's plenty of plants and wood to hide. or should i splash out seeing as i am officially getting older next month and would like nothing better than more fish
  10. WOW i envy you Chin. I would love a koi pond ...... one day ... in another country
  11. Hi sam, love the rocks by the way. I think alot of the plant ppl in here would be able to give you good advise as i dont know much about the requirements but i would guess the hair grass might do well at the front too, glosso if you have the patience? Perhaps something longer growing (or faster) at the back? Bettas look awesome in planted tanks. Good luck.
  12. yeah trouble is the cig lighter is on a different part of the console [sp?]
  13. Yeah we've got a multi meter, I'm just lazy thats all and they dont tell me much, well, i dont understand them. thought someone could save me 5 min of poking around. found the blue wire with the silver stripe worked.
  14. no labels, which colour wire would i be looking for? Obviously the radio would need power but just locating it is the prob. Also does it need to be earthed to work? I only get between 5-5.30pm to do my thing so today i'll have more time to try the different wires.
  15. Ok, Hubby's got a nissan primera (cough cough) with one of those cool radios that only get classic hits  . I brought a band expander for it, pulled the thing apart only to find i need to place a red wire from the new box to the radio "power source". Which ones the power source? theres like 20 wires going into the back of the darn thing. Hubby's answer was to put it in with the red wire, but theyre red with a black stripe, rainbow colours with grey spots and stripes etc. Anyone done this before? as i have to drive this car cause it's "too flash" for him to take to work and he drives my old ute (with a primo stereo set up) 8) . Thanks from a rock fan

    Jumping

theyre only getting out into the part of the tank that theyd go into anyway, but it's just nice to see them growing in a "controlled environment" before they leave the nest.

    Jumping

My newly hatched fry go into a floating container with pin-prick holes in it (so i dont have to change the water, just syphon out the watsed food) this has been working well but i have been noticing after about a week old theyve dissappeared. Today i saw 2 of different sizes amongst the rocks at the bottom. So theyre definatley getting out and doing ok, i just thought theyd be too young to jump?? :-? Or are they squeezing out the holes?

Ok, who would they be? I havent met anyone else here that keeps them. A friend brought 8 from someone on TM a while back but the slowly died off.
  21. ive got baby red ramshorn snails if you want? tiny little flat curly things. pain in the bum things but i can pop some in the post tomorrow.
  22. Want to borrow a trailer? Dont know if it's a good idea or not but youre more than welcome.
  23. I wouldn't expect so, most (if not all) have a thermostat so once they reach temp they switch off. Meaning, if winter makes the tank water cooler the heater should just work a little harder to reach temp. My theory anyway.
