I have a few and the ones that are cruising on the back stones are nice an dark but i have one that stays close by to an ornament which is a blotchy tan/black colour. it's always blotchy looking too, like it's missing some colour, perhaps the same?? i know you said yo took pic at night etc but if theyre always by a lighter colour???? defence mechanisim?

Males should be ok together if no females are in the tank. if adding females, then they recommend to have more females to stop fighting. Hope this helps you.

Yeah, hubby wants a flat screen so it takes up less space. :roll: one of his mates brought a 19" for $200 recently. This is what has started it all.

umm :lol: the games are for our daughter and other kids. the portable dvd screens are too small for a group to watch really. our telly in the caravan doesnt have the ports for a dvd player to be plugged in otherwise i'd just get one of those. thats why i thought of a laptop, can be taken in the car, used in the caravan when it's raining, the kids can play games on it without using this computer ... that sort of thing.

No particular model in mind as they all look the same to me. I dont really know whats a far price either.... under $100? would be nice. i understand you get what you pay for and i have been asking sellers if theyre ok for my use. one said good for dvd but only ok for games and not fast ones? dont really understand that.

Wanting to get a 2nd hand laptop mainly for watching dvd's and playing games when in car, wet days camping etc. Probably never be connected to the net but may be for assignments next year when studying. Questions are: what types are ok? I know nothing about them really. Obviously i need a dvd type. What else should i be looking for? theres a few cheap ones on the net 4 sale but all the jargon gets confusing and i dont want a lemon. Thought about a portable dvd player but the screens are so small. any advice or hints?? Thanks

Had problems with the fuel syphoning thru the carb and into the sump. Finally got that sorted Saturday, but me and the kids have had the flu (for over a week) so decided not to risk it for all of our sakes. May go this sunday all going well. ....... oh I had to change my number to 47v due to someone complaining they had the same number last season and (even tho selling their car) might get another one out there this season. :-?

its still alive, i think the peas worked. Its a bit lighter in colour ?? but the bellys gone down and the bubbles gone. best thing is theres small bristles starting............. hopefully it's a boy!

Is there any way at all i can hatch BBS without using air? I dont have a spare pump and the ones i'm using are already T'd off for extra things :oops: Will any hatch just sitting in the bottle or should i find another pump?

ok,,, so its still alive. belly has gone down a bit but bubble still there. put peas in and theyre gone but no idea who ate them??? fingers crossed it'll pass.

cripes........ i hope it doesnt explode i put it in a floating container last night but t was out this morning. seems to be grazing today. put peas in but cories have decided to spawn today so mega excitement in tank. just keeping an eye on it . or 2

No too keen on popping anything really. the bubble is on the outside for a reason. Will have a closer look tomorrow in the daylight.

yeah its still alive but i dont have epsom salts. will force feed a pea and see how it goes. not keen on popping anything tho. the only thing i have done different is added spirulina chips.

oh bummer, thanks for that, it has got a clear bubble at the butt end. it's not grazing either, just sitting there which is not right. Might seperate it so i can keep an eye on things in case it gets worse.

my smallest bristlenose has shown itself after hiding out for a month or so. as you can see the belly is huge and theres a bubble where its bum is. whats happening? is it constipated? should i chuck it in a seperate container an feed peas? help please.

yeah they can grow 8-10cm +. perhaps a couple White cloud mountain minnows in a 15 ltr?

What i thought was a female paradise fish has turned out to be another male. It's tail and dorsal/anal fins all have extensions now and starting to colour brightly. I now have 3 males and the dominant one is about 5cm and beautiful. He even built a bubble nest today. Poor guy. Will see if i can get a mate for him or might have to give the other 2 away as he's quite bossy. :-?

puppy kindy is a good place to start, usually run thru your local vets/ dog obedience etc.
