  1. Awww! Thats so cute! They look like good friends now.
  2. haha I can't say I like Shortland Street either. Home & Away is my soap.
  3. Don't worry Phoenix, you're not the only one! I'm sick of reading about it on FB. Friends updating their status with the likes of "OMG who got shot" etc and the one thousand and one comments to said status that inevitably follows
  4. Awesome. Well hubby is keen so we might see you there!
  5. Alrighty then, I'll see what hubby says. Maybe I can convince him that it would be a great photo opportunity. (he's into photography )
  6. I have 5 cats plus the neighbours cat frequently visits. Birds wouldn't stand a chance in my house.
  7. Hehe Jade & Amber are cute! This thread makes me want a bird. Sooo not a good idea with a houseful of cats though.
  8. Caryl, thought I better reply here rather than hijacking the other thread in the Welcome section. Sounds like fun.. I wonder if I can convince hubby to come with me. Oh 10 October.. thats this weekend... kinda short notice. Do we have to say we are coming or can we just turn up?
  9. Whats a tank parade?? I'm imagining fish tanks on floats parading through the streets?
  10. It could very well be the new biscuits you have started feeding. What are they and what did you feed previously? Best to get her to the vet asap though, just to be on the safe side.
  11. Welcome Sure is a lot of southern people joining just of late!
  12. Oh no!! My thoughts are with you TTK! Very sad news indeed. RIP Katy
  13. Oh and TetraMin flake food I wonder if I should try more natural stuff maybe? Like courgette, peas etc?
  14. Wardleys shrimp pellets and JBL Novo pleco chips and occasionally bloodworm.
  15. *sigh* I've had yet another loach die from this "wasting disease"
  16. Thats how I did it when I wanted to change the fine gravel I had in the tank for a pea gravel, just put handfuls of washed pea gravel over the top of the finer gravel and spread it around. Didn't remove any plants or fish, I did remove some of the water though.
  17. I did the AA quote thing for you had to guess a few things but it ended up at $79 pr month with a $400 x/s. Your broker deal is looking good so far.. But the AA quote was for an agreed value policy at $2,415.00, which means if the car was a total loss you would get paid that amount. Market value policies are cheaper than agreed value, but if the car is a total loss then they pay you the the pre-accident valuation which is determined by either one valuation or the average of two valuations.
  18. Brokers generally get you the best deal, they don't charge you for their service, the insurance company pays for that. Can I ask which insurance company this was with? Its probably expensive because you're only on your learners. Get your restricted asap! I pay $175 quarterly for 2 vehicles - a 2000 Mazda SP20 & 1995 Toyota Hilux
  19. Nice pics. I'm not particularly a fan of angels fish, but I really like the photo of your angel. I think you've captured him/her quite nicely.
  20. Not one for the traditional lovey dovey songs we went slightly different. I walked down the aisle to So Far Away by Staind. After the ceremony we walked back up the aisle to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve Songs we had playing before and after the ceremony were U2 - In The Name Of Love & Where the Streets Have No Name, Pearl Jam - Given To Fly, Creed - My Sacrifice, Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy, and Slide, Live - I Alone... Foo Fighters - My Hero.... Hubby had a lot to do with choosing this music so theres some random stuff like Def Leppard, Superjesus, Shihad and The Feelers also...
  21. Oh ok.. I wasn't sure. I just thought that if the water wasn't running through the old filter I'd lose the benefit of the bacteria in there.
  22. Yesterday I finally installed my new Aqua One CF1200 canister filter on my AR850 tank. I've set it up temporarily and still have the original AR850 filter going. My thought behind this was so that the biological filter could get started in the canister. Is this right?? Or is there another way I should have done this? I did think about just taking the noodles from the old filter, but they are kind of old.. probably needing replacement anyway. I'd eventually like to do away with the noisy old trickle filter.
