  1. Oh yeah might be alright. Send us the invite. Hubby might be interested too.
  2. So its not a game? Whats it called? I like trading games like that though. We have Gazillionaire on our laptops at home which is a trading game, buy and selling of goods for profit..
  3. They could all go in one tank I reckon? One biiiig tank
  4. Well I don't have kids, have no $$ to go anywhere to do anything and don't watch a lot of tv soooo... plenty of spare time to spend down on the farm, hang out with Coco (my Pet Society pet) and roll with my mafia. Edit - I am employed though.. and not allowed to access FB from work.
  5. Did I typo or did the forum change m a f i a to MAF???? mafia mafia lolz whats that about? MAF Wars hehe how appropriate eh?
  6. You can get tractors/harvesters now in Farmville.. I don't have one yet, not far away from being able to have one but its just taking me ages cos I'm bored with it now. haha I'm also on Mafia Wars, only at level 115 or something. But thats getting boring too cos I keep needing the untraceable cells etc to do the jobs. And no one gives me any when they are requested on my wishlist. I'm on Pet Society, but thats getting a little boring cos it takes too long to collect coins to buy stuff. I like having a fish tank in my pets house though, and making her go fishing. Happy Aquarium is my current fav game. Not bored with it yet. My clownfish mated! heheh I'm looking for new games to play, any suggestions? I'm kind of over the mafia wars/vampire wars style games.
  7. ha! Didn't even know there was one either.
  8. ugh.. I'm not even gonna go there. If I read it I'll end up wanting to kill someone so ima just agree with you phoenix.
  9. Sorry for your loss. Horrible way to go indeed. Were the fry ok though??
  10. Agree with Mystic.. looks like botia dario.
  11. I don't know. I would assume they sell fish/livestock from their Nelson shop location. Why do you ask?
  12. I do, except mine is on a long handle but with a much shorter blade. Its a detachable multi-tool thing it also came with a scrubber and a scoop. I like the long handle cos it means I don't have to get my arms wet. $40 would probably be a bit much for me for just a scraper.
  13. You know what else is outrageous? I went to see about buying an Aqua One CF1200 canister on Monday. Shop number 1 didn't have them in stock, shop number 2 also did not have them but could order in. I enquired about the price and after a quick call to their supplier and a calucation, I was told $280. I told them I'd get back to them and quickly left the shop. I have since purchased the very same item off the internet from a shop in Nelson for $157.00 brand new. I since went back to shop number 1 who didn't have any stock now have them in stock, but for $168.00! I'm just dying to tell shop number 2 their prices are outrageous.
  14. lol love it. Kanye needs to be taken down a peg or two.
  15. Two of the three men accused of the Temuka Bird Zoo slaughter have appeared in court and admitted to it. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/2867560 ... -slaughter All we need now is a decent sentence handed down.
  16. That was lucky Sharkie. I suppose my fish would be ok hanging out on top of the filter wool for a while. The water is running through it so the fish would be kept moist. I was reading on here a few weeks ago about how some fish can survive out of water, as long they stay wet. That eases my mind... sort of. They must have been pretty stressed out to do something like that though.
  17. I added 3 new Zebra loaches to my tank last night. This morning just before I left for work, I thought that I would check to see all was fine in the tank. To my surprise I found one of my old loaches stuck in the outlet pipe! I quickly turned the filter off, hoping that he would just flow out with the water.. but no, he kinda looked stuck! So I then take off the end cover of the filter unit and again to my surprise I discover another loach lying on the black filter wool! He had somehow made it up the outlet pipe and flipped his way over the divider bit in the filter and onto the filter wool just below the spray bar! I was unsure if he was still alive, who knows how long he had been there. Anyway I tentatively picked him up by the tail and he flipped around so a sure sign he was still alive, I managed to get him to the hole for the outlet pipe before he slipped his way out of my fingers and went down the pipe back into the tank. Never have I had any of my fish try and escape from my tank! I hope they don't try it again while I'm at work
  18. Humans are also destroying the environment....
  19. I think there is a thread on this but I'll play again.. We have 5 cats: Murphy - the old girl. A ginger cat who was found my hubby at one of his former workplaces years ago. So we really have no idea how old she is. We originally thought she was a HE hence the name Murphy after Greg Murphy (we'd been watching the V8's that day and Murph had won ) Yoda - 5 year old big black white male who's currently snoozing on my lap. He's quite unique because his tail curls up over his back. He came to us as a kitten from friends who still have his mum. Willow - 3 year old gentle little torbie female. Named after Willow from the Buffy the vampire slayer character. She was adopted from the SPCA and has the most gorgeous nature. She loves her mummy heheh Orion - Named after the Orion nebula, he's a 2 year old big tubby tabby male with the softest fur ever. He also came to us from the SPCA as a kitten. I'd seen earlier in the day about how the SPCA were overrun by kittens and they had a big picture on the front page of the Southland Times with all these tabby kittens so I thought we've got the space! He's a bit split personality though, one minute happy as, the next minute grumpy! And finally Ariane - named after the Ariane 5 rocket, she's a black & white female. She was an impulse buy from the local pet store. Normally I wouldn't buy a kitten from a pet store but I thought there was something cool about her. Then we have the dogs: Bob (Formerly known as Spongebob, I did not name him, my old flatmate did as he was originally her dog) - he's a black lab crossed with something, probably sheep dog. My flatmate saved him from her crazy mum who was going to have him and his sibling shot. She had him for a couple of years but then moved to Gisborne, leaving the dog temporarily in the care of a friend, who then got sick of him and threatened her that if he wasn't gone by the weekend she was going to have him shot too. So thats where hubby & I stepped in and he's been with us ever since. Last year he got lucky with the neighbours bull mastiff and created Jayde.. our nearly 1 year old Black lab bull mastiff x! I generally don't name my fish unless they are very distinguishable, such as Bert the rainbow shark.
  20. White chocolate ganache. That'd be good.
  21. Thanks Sharn, I'll keep an eye out for that one, it sounds good.
  22. Doh! The rugby ball lasted all of 30 seconds.. lol. Should have known. Oh well the new tennis balls seem to be able to withstand the chewings.
