  4. yep, i use to breed them. problem with those is u never get 100% black off spring so there is never enough around to make it to the shops.
  5. my only lasted 2 month and within that time very minimal growth stayed green right to the end. with my the roots rotted away and the leafs started to surface one by one. pet shops should really inform ppl about these thing
  6. nice collection there sharn, is ur albino a true albino? [with red eyes] dont see much of them around alot rarer then the golden.
  7. thanks , temperature at the moment is around 20 [breeding season] in the middle of summer it can get up to 26 max winter low as 10 [Celsius] the trick is having a big pond which holds the heat better though the nights and diet is extremely important and they should be feed according to temperature and breed. my mates and i dug this one out took 2 weeks and it's around 8000 Litres. all up cost $1121 exactly [ i was quit proud of my self to do it on budget] that includes pond lining, pump, filter, UV-C light, pipes and clips, sand and river stone. photo taken a little while ago it has a lot more plants now.
  8. if ur only option is the two foot then i would just have one male with 2 female.
  9. nothing is quit like the site of a brand new tank. looks great :bounce:
  10. yep, i have fancies out in my pond, bit more work looking after fancies out side but i think they deserve the space
  11. humm thats a tuffy........ sorry cant just pick one so for me would be the golden WCMM, ryukins and butterfly oranda [second pick not of my own] nice looking bunch there rcon
  12. i used to hatch BBS everyday as well and that lasted about 3 weeks before i gave up   dont know how u guys keep it up.
  13. that makes more sense. just take an empty coke bottle full it up 3/4 with warm water then just add some sugar and yeast. drill a hole at on the cap [just big enough for the air tube] then have an air stone at the other end of the tube. its that simple but in my experience not the most reliable, the 2.25 bottle would only last for less than a week.
  14. sorry i am not sure what ur doin? why are u putting yeast in ur tank? :-?
  15. their always on the list, should be around $15 to $20 for one around 8 - 10cm [retail] shouldn't have to pay more than that. jansens had them as low as $12 one stage, their not the most popular fish.
  16. how long did that last , longest one ever i had in a cold water tank was just over 3 months.
