  1. ouh yeah i am so incredibly jalousie
  2. this is not my picture to post so OutOfAfrica if u want me to remove it just let me know
  3. its seems reasonable depending on the condition, reasonable not great leaks, chips and does it still have all the lids? bit of a funny size u wont find a light thats the perfect fit.
  4. ooo i would like a pic, my i have a email button next to my PM. thanks
  5. depends on what sort of fish, they're funny about these things some times they make a huge deal out of the smallest things then other times they can care less  example WCMM, paradise fish and leopard fish are all cold water fish that can quit easily live and breed in our local streams, plus they're not suppose to be here in the first place as ur not allowed to import them yet u can buy them in LFS but they would make a huge fuss if they found u in position of an fresh water stingray yet there is not way for them to survive in the wild
  6. Black moors are a type of goldfish so yes, other fish i've kept out side are all types of WCMM, inangas and paradise fish. put a lily in their and u shouldn't need any type of filter or do any water maintenance just the occasional topping up of water during the dry summer days
  7. looks fantastic and so nice ands simple to do too doesn't it feel great when an idea actually works
  8. yep quit a handful mite sell of a trio at this rate that's the size batch i use to get just keep up with good diet and clean water and the clutches will get bigger.
  9. cool pics and i love the color they've got against the sand. what type of sand is that?

    My Axolotls

thanks for posting sharn hey look really great. so u basically have every type available in NZ  how big are they?
  11. i run AquaOne and Eheim and both good, of cause Eheim is better but its a lot more expensive. AquaOne IMO best value for money.
  12. wow thats awesome sharn, ur very lucky indeed. i wonder what color it would turn to if it morphs into an tiger salamander, not that i am suggesting u try maybe a new thread with some pics

    hello guys

welcome NoToRiOuS cool looking tank u got there. yeah ur goin to need alot bigger tank with them 3 , what is the size of the tank their in now?
  14. i prefer the looks of custom made tanks rather than "brand" tanks with the hood and all. its cheaper and u can have it the exact size u want.
  15. what are the dimensions of this tank? 165 Litre so is 3foot? unfortunately ur not goin to have too much luck getting plants to grow with gold fish especially when they grow bigger as they would just eat it all, one option is to buy large pond plants maybe some deep water marginals. gold fish don't really need subtract so it would be really up to u. cost around $2 a kg depending what u want. all gold fish can live quit happily together as long u make sure the slower ones are getting their share of food and a good way to do this is buy slow sinking pellets and spot feed the slow fish. eg fantail. are u wanting to run two eheim 2213 on the 165Litre tank? one is more than enough but u can never really over clean the water . i run a eheim aquaball 2212 on my 200Litre and do a water change ever week. [well try to  ] there is a few ppl here thats keep freshwater cray before although i am sure ur not suppose to :-?
  16. keep us up dated, good job with the tape
  17. so u would have to go though this every time u get the bottle refilled? this is the only reason i am leaning more towards an proper set up as the idea of putting a full co2 bottle in a vice .........
  18. hay Sirkus welcome :bounce: we've already chatted in another thread but i was unaware u were in to topical plants too . i especially love aquatic mosses Ceratophyllum demersum is banned over here although there is tones in our local stream if caught with it will lead to very heavy fines. ps. just had ur "Live space" page left open for the pass couple of hours for the music absolutely fantastic. thanks
  19. no i haven't started a thread on it but maybe i will, i always like to post with pics so mite hold of till middle of summer when the plants look better we have around 10 different species that is NZ native, u can catch them by the hundred in the streams but ur not suppose to i dont think there's killies been imported for quit some time now. but there is certainly a lot of different ones available only though breeders though. there is a few members here really dedicated to killies Edit link on NZ native fish http://www.doc.govt.nz/Conservation/001 ... e-Fish.asp
  20. i wish i had room for 40-50 tanks well done on the spawning. love to see some pics of ur fish room.
  21. up date on these little beauties its exactly 3 weeks today and they're mostly around 1cm since i've got so much from these two spawn decided to do a little experiment with them. half of them i released back in to the parents tank 2 foot tank around 200 around 50 is in a 2 foot grow out tank all by themselves around 60 is in a 3 foot grow out tank with other fancy pleco and around 30 in a breeding trap on a totally different diet. this is just to see if tank size makes a different in growth rate or diet is more important. on another note they've done it again!!! :bounce: :bounce: 3 weeks later i've now got another clutch of eggs and the other female is doin the dance too. picture above are of the previous bunch at 3 weeks. this is the latest clutch of eggs and yes its an coke bottle  its an little trick i learned while breeding bettas just cut the top off an coke bottle and float it in water of cause with bettas u will need to poke holes in them.
  22. hay penguinleo, so ur the one asking all those questions on trademe if ur after a set up give plantman a pm hes got an complete set up for sale at a very decent price [better than the ones on trademe] http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/profil ... file&u=789 he's also at the north shore and i am sure he can answer all ur questions and its well worth visiting his set up. i've ever only seen the set up at his old place and i can tell u ur be in for a treat.
  23. range from 70cm to 40cm and there is an step at the back thats only 20cm deep for the marginals. it has mainly fancy gold fish in there u name it i've got it , also a school of Inanga [nost sure which type] and about 4 large frogs. lets get back on track with the topic for Sirkus
