hey all.... i have a tire track eel had him for about 2 years, hes been with fish all this time and at the mo hes with a discus and 2 angels (which are quite big), apparantley he tries to attack them now and then. what do people here feed theirs? like ive read on google what to feed them but wanna know what people in nz feed them? live food? cheers

hi all, i have a big discus which has happily been living with angels, and 4 younger discus, plus an eel and a big syno and a few other catfish. due to personal reasons i have to dramatically reduce how many fish i have and only want to keep the big discus, the eel and the syno. will the discus be ok by himself seeing he has been with other fish for nearly 2 years? cheers

i wouldnt think it would be a prob i have fed mine that and no probs at all

how big do borneo suckers get? i only see small ones at animates...

its possibly just the personality of the fish as some fish of one type can be agressive and some not. i have one thats about 20cm (including tail) and its in with a big eel about 22cm, mystus catfish 10cm, chocolate catfish (big fat guy about 12cm) a skunk loach about 7cm (these small guys can also be agressive he was in my small tank and managed to kill about 10 fish b4 i realised it was him), plus 4 discus only about a year old a big discus and 2 big angels and he dont touch no one! i had it since it was tiny say 2cm...

mine never liked the dried blood worms but liked the frozen ones... also blood worms arent mosquito larvae (are they?)

hi there i am looking at setting up a bath outside in a garden for some cold water fish... does anyone have any ideas? ie do i need a filter since its outside or are water charges enough? are there any fish that can go outside besides gold fish and can black moors go outside? cheers
