  1. Females are larger... and fatter... be very careful they are very sensitive to water change.. also states this on various information about them (even tho Tanganyikans are, these guys are a little more sensitive in that area) Also they are can be VERY aggressive, even more so than J. marlieri (they make them look like puppy dogs) Definately more aggression shown in transcriptus tank compared.

    aro

While the Aro is relatively still small, but I would go 8ft plus for an Aro long term...
  4. We've used a very sharp craft knife... and scalpel
  5. Very nice huh rcon PS My Lithobates are holding
  6. Yeap Wok has hit it in one, insurance companies should be informed, so at least it is noted in your files as keeping tanks
  7. I guess what I like Alan is the fact that if it does ever let go, I can have it fixed under guarantee also, and the guy who made it has an amazing reputation with tank making, it is his full time profession.. so that was good enough for me, I had seen his work well before us purchasing our 8fter.. and I am blown away
  8. Our 8fter we got has a lifetime guarantee from a great professional tank maker, don't think you can do better than that... however, I guess the 1 year guarantee is good enough But be aware that seals can go on a tank anytime, not just within a year... Happened to us (not with our 8fter thankfully).
  9. I have heard from other fish keepers about Bloodworms to Frenchy, I have actually thought about not replacing the next lot that we currently have, and moving onto other alternatives... We bought a whole heap in bulk, so thought we would use them up, however, as said before my African Cichlids don't get them. I agree with Frenchy, suggesting the use of them to others isn't what I would do either, there are other alternatives out there and with the thoughts and information given against Bloodworms, I would definately be encouraging other foods over Bloodworms anyday IMO
