worked at a local dog kennal for a few yrs(big dogs,im a little scared of the small ones)

I'm the other way around, when I did vet experience four years ago - I had to stay in a cubicle with a Doberman putting my finger on one of its veins in its throat post-operation....I would've rather do that with a yappy chihuahua that won't have a chance of eating me lol

I work from home at a Porse Home Educator, but that technically means I am self-employed. Every day I have 4 children under 4 years between 8am and 5pm or thereabouts. It is GREAT, I love it! I get to be at home with my little boy and still work full time. We do all sorts of fun things during the day, Te Papa, parks, the Zoo, all the LFSs, etc. Here's a montage of some photos I took of some of my little ones...

Hahahaha qualifications. Well I have a degree in Linguistics but that doesn't really come into it! I have done quite a bit of nannying over the years, here and in Ireland, but the best qualification I have is being a mother. It really is a fantastic way to live, especially when you have a child. Midwifery sounds awesome though. I would love to have done that. I guess it is never too late but I know deep down I won't get around to it.

I'm currently working for NZ Post as Network Performance Manager for the south Island... but tomorrow is my last day due to being made redundant.

As of June 19th I'll own/operate a cafe. Food, coffee and meeting people are what I enjoy most in life... who would have thought being made redundant could be such a good thing? :)

I'm also considering putting a 1200 litre aquarium in my cafe - may as well put all of my favourite things in one spot! haha
