Tell her to hire the services of an employment advocate, seriously, if not then the workplace may just walk all over her, but think twice if she brings an employment advocate. Especially if what they are doing is a bit suspect. My husband was put in a similar position and he hired a pitbull of an employment advocate and she did a great job of putting his employer in their place and he walked away with his job intact and I think a bit more respect from the employers as they now know he wont tolerate being treated like crap.

Zomg I know right, I lost $300 worth of my breeding stock to a frickin cat. I hate cats they can go extinct for all I care. It managed to get through my fence and netting too, no mean feat and it wasn't like I left the pond in the open for the cat to come and go as it pleased. Now my pond looks like something from WWI I even put barb wire on it. Stinking cat. I lost 2 of my black orandas, I have two left though so I guess that is better than nothing. But I lost my Ryukins, and ranchus, and veiltail orandas. I was so gutted. It even got my black veiltail oranda. :tears:

Hey guys, I was wondering if there may be anyone in Paraparumu that would be coming up to Levin today or someone that would be willing to come from Paraparaumu to Levin, I had a fish couriered to me from Auckland except it has ended up in Wellington, courier said they could get it as far as Paraparaumu if someone was prepared to meet them there to take the fish the rest of the way to Levin. Failing that it wont be delivered until Monday and I am stressing that the fish wont survive in its bag til Monday so I thought I would make a last ditch effort, and check on here. I would go down myself except for the fact I don't have a car. I need to know before 11am so I can let the courier know.

Well do you think people would be prepared to travel to a good fish store? Especially if their reputation was for selling good quality and a wide range of fish?

Thanks for your feedback, I hope someone else is able to respond with their thoughts. I too also thought septicemia, as my other fish had it a last year and pulled through. She is currently swimming in Furion spiked tank so fingers crossed she will pull through too.

Hi there, Tonight before going to bed I noticed one of my three goldfish in a 150litre tank looked like she just came out looser of a recent bar fight. :nilly: She was visibly a mess with blood all over her. The other two were all merry looking so left them to it. I did a water test thinking perhaps Ammonia or Nitrates but that is all fine, (a bit worried as she had blood around her gills). Tested everything else in the water and that was all clear. So the only thing I can think of is some trauma happened to her, like maybe she really did have a bar fight, as her tank mates and water are fine. What are your opinions. There is only a jug ornament in the tank, no sharp jagged edges, there is sand instead of gravel, so nothing she could scratch herself up on imo. What are your opinions? (I currently have her separated and treating her with furion to cover the possibility of septicemia). Also I apologize for any gender mess up, the fish "Blue" is a she not he, and also sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors, its nearly 3am and I have been busy making Blue comfortable for the night. Will attach photos, blurry though due to not great macro camera.*sigh* :tears:

My three goldfish that I had previously thought to have been three girls have surprised me and ended up spawning, twice. :facepalm: First time was last week and again today. Previous batch have all hatched and are currently a week old. I've never had goldfish spawn on me or needed to raise goldfish fry. I am feeding them a combination of Liquifry, brine shrimp and infusoria. Plan on bumping it up to Micro worms just need to know when. There doesn't seem to much info on the net, so if anyone can help me by telling me what I can expect in terms of growth/development (i.e stages) that would be great. I am aware of the need of clean water, aeration and the standard requirements that all fry require just not so sure on if Goldfish require anything special, as I've never breed them or had them surprise me before. :nilly: Thought I would also attach pics of parents and fry- there is about forty from the first batch. :bounce: Dad (Half (?) Hey, just a question but is it one side of his stomach sticking out or his entire stomach is bloated because a few years ago I had a fighter who got bloated and looked like he had dropsy but then it went down and he looked like he was going to be fine, he was swiming around eating just fine but then I had noticed he had a lump sticking out on his left side and no matter what I did he remained that way till he died a year later. But he never showed any signs of discomfort, he was always brightly coloured. Would flare at his reflection, attacked his food with gusto and swim around quite happily. Then I also recieved a fighter from a trademe auction that arrived with a white lump near its tail. It lived a full life without the lump affecting his ability to live life. I did have a foto of it but deleted alot when I got my new laptop.. wish i had kept it now. Grrrr Just thought i would ask because ive never come across the same thing again. HAHA found it!

Rofl, you are totally right there. When I saw my first squirrel I giggled hysterically and tried to catch it, my husband thought my reaction was hiliarious because like you said they are just and ordinary creature to him. Still want one. They are so freaking awesome.

In America here, I find advertisements all over the town for baby pet hedgehogs and squirrels May be a pest in New Zealand but it sounds like the Americans over here couldnt care less lol. Oh and they want around $400-800 per baby Hedgehog. :lol:

Hey Guys, Hate to do this, but has to be done. I am going over to America in September to marry the love of my life and that means selling up everything here and tying up loose ends. Unfortunately this also means I have to rehome my beloved bunny, Buddy. I looked into taking him but from what I've been told I cant. SO Im hoping that a very nice person on this forum may have a place in his/her home/heart for a bunny that likes to be indoors and around people, think of him as a dog rather than rabbit because thats how he acts. I can get him neutured as well for the right person free of charge. I just want him to go to a forever home where he will be treated fairly and lovingly as I have treated him, so he will be happy and wont miss me too much. pst me for more info im hoping i wont have to put him on trademe as that really is a last resort for me.
