  3. I'm feeding my fry the same but no brine shrimp for my adults , i haven't got any but they seem more than happy with blood worm, mozzy lava and flake, they always seem ready to drop more just not enough tank space...

  10. Hi Guys Well looks like the wainui water is still as good as ever , our honey gouramis starting building a nest at the weekend but in the 2nd community tank. The hospital tank was free so i move them into there and this morning we have lots of little honeys free swimming how sweet or is that 1 pun to many not sure what to feed them as there so small so its microworm and very fine baby flake and a some liquid fry food for now , i think that should be fine.

Hi Maddog Welcome and don't let the others put you off, there just jelous they don't live in Wainuiomata too    All the best its a good group here i'm sure you will enjoy the site .
  15. Hi First thing i would do is water tests, Ammonia ,ph, nitrate nitrite make sure all those are good. Water changes are go as long as temp is same or pretty close to tank water and has been treated with Aqua conditioner. feeding 4-6 times a day seems a little over feeding too , depending on amounts but i'd cut that back too as the more they eat the more ammonia they produce and that could be the problem... hope that helps
  16. the pair of them are in a 200L tank, doing good and don't seem to be a hassle with any other fish. its wrong for the shop to sell at one thing when its another , surly the supplyer/breeder knows the differance.
  17. here are some more pic's , if you are right , what size do they grow to and are they ok in my community tank ? I got them from Animates in wellington , there still on sale there as upside down catfish i saw them today.
  18. I've had them a month or more and have seen on many occation them swimming upside down so i'm pretty sure it is an upside down catfish, the pic is a little dark, the light color is a soft golden color with darker marking
  19. heres the only one i have I'll try and get some more, but if you can say what this one is and why , maybe i could sex the other one. Thanks
  20. Hi I have two of these very pretty catfish, they just look great but how do i tell what sex they are, i really have no idea if there both male or female of one of each ( fingers crossed for that) Thanks
