  1. low aerobic bacteria count, high anaerobic count (I'm talking about estuary sand though)
  2. the live sand will contain lotsa live bacteria to speed up the cycling, but it will also contain lots of organism's that will add bioload (I counted 200 cone snails in my 2L of live sand, thats just what I could see) so its probably going to counter itself.
  3. if you have a canister filter I would run it through the bins to keep it alive, it should buffer against new cycling to a point. you said you had some TLC coming, that should work well, just do daily ammonia tests just in case
  4. cheap 50L fish bin from bunning, run an airline into it and plop your heater in, will do fine for days like that
  5. http://youtu.be/6Dtih9IOeSo seriously, taken to show how to "Care" for animals??? gotta love the comment "A fish is a fish and a baby is a real life thing" hence the abuse,

  11. I am one of the disappointed many.... mainly by the fact the woman had no boobies
  12. lol, add some baby guppies, then you get twice the fun I normally use the Aqua one test to get a fair idea then use the API brand to get an accurate result.\ also make sure you wash the tubes out properly before use as the salts from the water drying inside the tubes can alter results
  13. yay school is out.. " I hate school" "school sucks" wait 2 years..... "Wow I wish I had done more at school" (or after beer) " I feel really bad for how I treated my teachers" (or after doing shots of teachers)" man I with my Teashers was thish goood"
  14. if thats the nitrate test, make sure you shake part A until it dissolves, part B just once or twice and then just swirl the 5 drops of part C if part A doesn't dissolve you get a dodgy result (sometimes 0 sometimes extremely high)
  15. wow, I agree, the iPhone sucks.... hrmmm.... im assuming someone else will weigh in here but untill then from http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/brineshrimp.htm the part about them lasting longer seems interesting
  16. +1 especially in that tight vinyl outfit when she was on a motorbike.... did I mention I met her once, made an ass out of myself by drooling
  17. just one strange possibility, try rehoming your clown loaches for a week or 2, see if you have a massive trumpet snail issue. I had a tank that was trouble, moved the loachs out of it and 1hour later the thing was litterally covered 2 deep with MTS, nuked tank and started again, no problems since, though with the loaches it had been going on for 6 months.never saw 1 MTS (Nitrates through the roof in 2 days due to massive bioload)
  18. go to imageshack, simple easy and if you go past your limit it just deletes the oldest
  19. are you sure they are BBS and nos tiny cockroaches???? pic or it didn't happen
