My opinion is he isn't making it up, if you read the books he alludes to allot of the thing that are going to happen long before they do, like John Snows parents.
I would personally suggest not to use them around your tanks, but if you must I would put a thick blanket/sheet over the tank to stop the toxins getting to the water, and do a big water change after the bombing to make sure that the fish are safe.
I havnt watched the tv shows, but did read the books. Not spoiling the red wedding to those that were watching the show was hard, it isnt my favorite wedding in the series though.
I would say that it probably isn't a very good idea, as dwarf puffer's are known to be fin nippers, so I wouldnt risk them attacking and ruining the fins of discus.
so the water doesn't get changed into energy? it stays as water threw the fishes system and when it urinates it will eventually pass all the water it absorbed every last drip?

I have been lead to believe that the blue gene is a recessive gene, so if it only has one of the blue genes then it doesn't show, you only see a different colouration if it has both of the genes. Or that is what I have been told, I might be wrong.
Yay, I am not the only one with dyslexia (yes I had to copy your spelling of it to get it correct) on here. The only reason 90% of the words I write are spelt correctly is because of spell check.
It is fun to watch free swimming fry like that, especially when the parents get aggressive, leads to cool interactions in your tank. Hopefully they dont all get eaten to fast.
