Grant saw the orthopaedic surgeon today. He said all was good and no surgery required but he may have ongoing pain and problems with the wrist due to the breaks plus the damage already done by his rheumatoid arthritis. :-? He has a lovely new cast on. I picked black so it matched his work gear :bggrn: Also, it won't show up the dirt so much. It is a fibreglass job so lighter than the plaster cast. He is a mass of bruising from his fingers to just past his elbow!

And then there is the misuse of foreign words - those who do not realise "voila!" is French and put either viola or wulla.

Best way is to use a siphon. Either suck to get it started (easy) or put thumb over hose end. Submerge siphon then tip up so hose and tube fills completely with water. Tip so tube is facing down, under the water, then release thumb from end of hose. Should start siphoning. Make sure hose end is over bucket, or out window, at this time!

Spent 3 hours in A&E today after Grant fell down our back steps. He has 2 fractures and is now in plaster for 6 weeks. Has to see the orthopaedic surgeon before that to decide if it is healing straight, or if the plaster is tight enough (wrist is swollen at the moment). Right wrist too so not helpful as he is right handed. :roll:

I suggest you ask Greg to make you a receipt for what the tank would cost normal retail, just for your records, not what it actually cost. When our tank cracked and flooded the lounge, dining room, kitchen and had started creeping up the hall, AMI was very good to us. They would not cover the damage done, as it was not considered a "normal water supply" fault but did suggest we get the dearest quote possible to replace the tank then use the excess to help pay for lifting the carpet, drying it out, and re-laying. We have since changed our contents policy to make sure it includes aquarium breakage and damage caused by same.

It could be bloat but not usually something a neon has problems with. It could be egg bound - possible if female. If this, wait and see what happens.
