  1. Note the latest Aquarium World had a list of places near the venue that were offering discounts for attendees.
  2. Possibly not as people will be driving extra carefully. The rest of the world uses the new rule.
  3. There are some motels offering discount to FNZAS attendees so it would pay to book early.
  4. We booked into Lakepoint, next to where conference is being held 8)
  5. Sunday 25th March, 2pm 8a Faulkland Drive, Blenheim All welcome. Please bring a small plate for afternoon tea. We will also be able to see all the photos taken by Grant and me at the Tank Parade (there aren't a lot). If any other members have their photos on a card, we have a card reader which takes multiple sizes so we are sure to have one to fit and we can have a look at your photos as well. We can also view from CDs or DVDs.

    Hi all :)

Welcome! Perhaps enough up there to get a club going again?

    Close call...

Lucky it was noticed before the tank went through the floor!
  8. That looks like what I have on my walls. It used to be called Anaglypta but different brand name now. I have not tried to "stick" anything onto mine, just pins and nails. I do have one of those little peel the backing and stick-on hooks and it has stayed stuck for several years.
  9. That black cat watching them might be the reason for their nervousness
  10. ...and so it begins :gigl: MULTIPLE TANK SYNDROME. (There is no cure!!!) :slfg:
  11. I couldn't pick her either Adrienne. It was only because she had turned up here to ask her dad for something (while I was out) and he was able to point her out for me :sml1: I had figured which one had to be her but only by a process of elimination. The kids in her class (Year 2's, 6 yr olds) think it is great.
  12. I have nothing to do with them! :slfg: I am sure the bruises were covered by the makeup. This is a new team who are all still learning. They have just had their first official competition against Nelson I think. You can get hurt from elbows in the face, bruised hips when you fall, broken and sprained extremities etc. Kelly sprained her ankle so far.
  13. Only needs to be basic
  14. My daughter's roller derby team, the Boomtown Brawlettes, had a professional photo shoot with Bear Photography today...
  15. I am looking to buy an A3 laminator. Anybody got any pros and cons to look for or a brand or model they have found better than others? I would like to hear from those speaking from experience please as I am quite capable of using Google (and have done so) to search price comparisons and reviews. Looking in the lower end price bracket. Warehouse Stationery have a Fellowes Cosmic A3 on special for $190 (usually $260) and Fellowes appears to be an excellent and popular brand.
  16. I suggest everyone do whatever suits their fish best. This vary between individuals. :dunno: For those interested, get a glass of water and drop a bit of various types of food in it. Leave it for a few minutes and see what difference there is in size. Some of those cheap pellets swell a LOT.
  17. My tap water nitrate is 50ppm. If you have used meth blue it will alter the colour of your tests.
  18. I agree. I wonder if there is a trick to it? My fish ripped it up instantly, no matter how good the root system.
  19. Now I know why I had so much trouble identifying them myself! Thanks for the help guys. So, if I remember correctly, the argument was regarding the stuff the fish is nestled into? What about the last pic with green things in it? I thought, at first, it was 2 different things but on closer inspection realise it is half open and half closed same entity.
  20. I haven't got a better pic but it doesn't have green stalks, they are white stalks.
  21. How do you know he is correct? (That is a joke Joe!)
