  1. Some clear pics would help. Has he got red gills? Perhaps he was chased into a small space somewhere and grazed both sides?

We had a Classic Car Show today. Any car could enter for a fee od $5 and the public could come and view them for a gold coin donation. All money to go to Marlborough Hospice. We took the MX5 and Chrysler. A lovely, relaxing day chatting with lots of people. They had over 300 cars attend. A few photos can be found here Here is our 1928 next to some other old car. I think Grant said it was a 1978 Corvette 8)
  3. What almost got us killed over there was that some of their roundabouts also have lights! When you are trying hard to figure out which exit is the 5th one, you do not notice a random set of traffic lights in the middle of the roundabout.
  4. Our neighbour is growing his pumpkins in our back section so we can't build our garage extension until they are ripe. The builder just looked at us when we explained that :sml2:
  5. Good to see you were not seriously hurt Stella. Did you not manage to catch a few fish while you were down there? You had 3 hours after all! :gigl:
  6. They should be fine in a 6ft. I think it is because they are best to be kept in a shoal that my friend had trouble with too many, rather than too big, in her 8ft.

I almost did so once but remembered just as it was shimmering on the top edge! I have just made some Afghans. All 29 of them (I don't know where number 30 went :dunno: ) are cooling ready to be iced with melted chocolate and the obligatory walnut.
  8. I have a friend whose balas outgrew her 8ft tank.
  9. Us oldies will be fine as we remember when it used to be the rule
  10. Just had a giggle :gigl: 15 years in IT eh? My husband, Grant, has been in IT since 1977. I knew he was old but sheesh! This makes it clear just how old!!! :sml1: AVG used to be good but has turned to rubbish. We have been installing Microsoft Security Essentials on many computers we have supplied, and use it ourselves, and never had any problems. Earlier versions did but the latest is doing the job. If you want a basic, easy to use, anti-virus programme it is the way to go.
  11. Go for the Microsoft Security Essentials. It's a free download, works well and they have versions for XP, Vista and 7.
  12. Note the latest Aquarium World had a list of places near the venue that were offering discounts for attendees.
  13. Possibly not as people will be driving extra carefully. The rest of the world uses the new rule.
  14. There are some motels offering discount to FNZAS attendees so it would pay to book early.
  15. We booked into Lakepoint, next to where conference is being held 8)
  16. Sunday 25th March, 2pm 8a Faulkland Drive, Blenheim All welcome. Please bring a small plate for afternoon tea. We will also be able to see all the photos taken by Grant and me at the Tank Parade (there aren't a lot). If any other members have their photos on a card, we have a card reader which takes multiple sizes so we are sure to have one to fit and we can have a look at your photos as well. We can also view from CDs or DVDs.

    Hi all :)

Welcome! Perhaps enough up there to get a club going again?

    Close call...

Lucky it was noticed before the tank went through the floor!
  19. That looks like what I have on my walls. It used to be called Anaglypta but different brand name now. I have not tried to "stick" anything onto mine, just pins and nails. I do have one of those little peel the backing and stick-on hooks and it has stayed stuck for several years.
  20. That black cat watching them might be the reason for their nervousness
  21. ...and so it begins :gigl: MULTIPLE TANK SYNDROME. (There is no cure!!!) :slfg:
