  2. cant be via s.t.d cause i spotted a cane toad tryin to hump a waterdragon last time i was in aus

  4. wow so not chemical burn but BURN burn!#$%^$*&some people! so some idiot with a ceramic heatlamp to close ya think?
  5. or realy manky water and no basking or u.v .hard to tell with the photos but could be galoping shell rot mis treated with bleach or neglect.should bounce back if at your place
  6. how old was the beardie?i assume it was inland? cold should be fine if healthy and over 3 months old? normaly worried about over heating if beardie or waterdragon e.c.t p.s how hot do the heatpads get? how big was the package?how long without moisture? cold COLD COLD nights inland australia in the dry season... personaly would never ship beardie(coastal or inland) or waterdragon with heat.
  7. horse has alrerady bolted e.g stoats, ferrits, cats, dogs, possums, hedghogs, pigs, kukaburras, rats, mice aaaaaaaand people e.c.t  .
  8. not according to the last person i spoke to from maf. i was told they wernt interested in making more work for themselves as they were overworked as it was.the impression i got from them was out of sight out of mind.
  9. good luck with that! still apparently live cane toads were ok to import live for vivisection back in the 90s along with african clawed frogs ex D.S.I.R. dont know what there called these days, but after importing(did i mention live)2 of the most invasive species of amphiabian in the world, any self respecting government funded department would be stupid not to change its name....wouldnt it?
  10. hate to think what an urangutang would do with a bluetoung.....or a fantangarang
  11. wow cat must be well fed. normaly skinks are high on the food chain....my brother in brisbaine reckons his missus cat brings in at least one chewed up bluie a week...and i rember an article from doc about an nz ferral cat that was trapped, and when gutted was found to have 20something native skinks in its gut from one nights hunting....still domestication does funny things to the human brain!
  12. dont forget winter night time cooldown.can be as cold as or more so than n.z(jafa climate)..was freezing nightime (literaly) last time i was in brisbane(august) apparently triggers high fertilty...and as for enclosure size, even with a frontal labotimy can you imagin living in a 4m+2m+2m world???(four foot fishtank). if scaled to human,)minus brain..have observed an inland beardie almost pop with excitment after being shifted from a 2m cube enclosure(for winter) up to a 70m cube enclosure...cant all build mega enclosures but maby can pick up the slack with day cages.....mmmmm sunlight n space...heres a cheap trick.wharehouse swimmin pool.the one with the frame, not the one thats inflatable.....stab the base many many times so it wont flood, lanscape to the max, day cage from hell....dooooo iiiiit!
  13. could be a good calcium indicator ...if they are chewing e.c.t. lol
  14. yea would be sooooo goooood! saw some veileds about 10 or so years ago...in nz .they were quarintened(with good spelling lol) for prosicution(s.p.e.l.l.i.n.g.b.a.d) back then ...from ,what i saw of them over maby 4 weeks...they growth rate ,and hardyness was crazy if compared with jacksons.... but were destroyed to prove a point about smuggling!....dagnamit! sigh....so were clasified as illegialy imported organisims(not un wanted organisims).......so maby zoos or containment could still get them back if they were prepaired to spend the money for health standard e.c.t.......p.s jacksons are technichly(wheres the spell check in this?)impossible to cross breed! so i take my hat off to ivan from ti point reptile park!!!!! foir keepin them going after all these years. after all the other zoos have managed to kill them off! p.p.s also saw adult veiled in china some years later...WOW!
  15. nice shed! now chainsaw out the wall to suit a ranchslider, build an external enclosure out side of that, n then move into the shed...perfect  p.s dont let the C word people(sort of) know about the footprint...
