  1. The exception seems to be tortoise, been in nz 100 odd years,i used to be able to buy an adult male for around $500 13 or so years ago, same thing anywhere from $3000 up today. i would assume fertility low as were not triping over them when walking down the street... and demand high because of tm e.c.t 13 /20 years ago only a handfull of keepers n breeders, not many people even new they were here.
  2. supposedly alive and well in the coromandle ranges....I would assume here and there in private collections around nz.
  3. Henward re your comment(And sneaky: I don't know whos side you are on. But the end of the day, taking haisley side, either means you are his friend, or you are stupid. the guy was arrested for obtaining and owning and trying to sell illegal animals!! for crying out loud.) I don't believe there are sides.in fact if as hobbyists we split into sides, then in the long run we are all screwed...I would predict that within ten to fifteen years all reptiles on (the list) will be declared unwanted organisms!!! if we don't unite as hobbyists. I am very interested in the legal aspect of this bumbling persecution(not prosecution) the facts should be made public.if nothing changes then it could be me ,you or anyone next!

  16. i wouldnt hesitate to hose it down inside and out, outside as it stands.if inside i would put a liner inside first. but even then i dont think i would put a hose on it as water would spray out the mesh an all over the wallpaper  its built out of 18mm construction ply with seal coats of paint so yes it will handle being hosed down.
