  1. That sucks, tell TM or make the shop get you one for the agreed price, even if they have to take a loss it would be better for their reputation. I do know the shop your speaking of and I understand your disappointment.
  2. I noticed the drop after I notice the whitespot, I wouldn't have thought adding salt could drop the PH but I don't chemistry that well. I didn't have a chance to check the tank this morning but hopefully I haven't lost anyone yet.
  3. I can also feel your pain, I was speaking to KP yesterday, and I too have a whitespot outbreak, I haven't lost anything yet but only noticed on friday night, I have a few that don't look too happy. I have raised the temp and added some salt and whitespot cure. Will salt drop the PH? Mine dropped over night fri-sat for no reason.
  4. I'm surprised you haven't got one already, it was months ago you said you wanted one.
  5. Try craft shop for plastic mesh, I think it's called plastic canvas. I have used it as a tank divider before.
  6. Interesting comment about the filter, I was about to buy 1.
  7. What is the plant in the center with green/pink leaves? Tank is looking good.
  8. We can only keep 1 diamond tetra at a time, Add any more and the original one will die and slowey get left with one again. Tried getting some more a couple of times and same result. Seems happy enough though.
  9. Try Hans, he had some cree leds for sale a little while ago, Did you still want some anubias nana?
  10. I have found fluval internal filters to be the quietest, or maybe eheim internal.
  11. Sorted now, I know I'm an idiot.
  12. Does anyone have contact details for adodge, I am shipping her a fish today but need the address, I somehow deleted it. PM if you do thanks
  13. Hi, You can try wrapping some filter wool around they filter intake, this will speed things up a little and stop the filter filling up with dirt. Just replace the filter wool every day and it will clear up soon.
  14. Regarding CO2 quality, the guy I spoke to at BOC said CO2 is CO2, they just test for impurities after filling the bottle for food grade.
  15. I think there is some one on TM selling regulators no gauge though, search CO2 regulators.
  16. Yeah there is no chance of them surviving with BGK and fire eel in there. I would like to get a female macmasteri, I got the last male from redwoods a couple of months ago, he has really coloured up lately. Anyone got a spare female macmasteri?
  17. Does anyone know if a Apisto Eunotus female will breed with a Apisto Macmasteri Male? I'm not trying to but they are in the same tank and seem to be shaking at each other every now and then.
  18. Thanks for your help, I'm deciding between these or similar and the apisto hongsloi from HFF Can anyone in Tauranga help with shipping to me?
  19. Have asked, waiting for reply.
  20. Hi I am looking for some apistos with some colour and have seen these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 210193.htm Are they triple reds or just cockatoos. Also can anyone help with shipping them to me?
  21. Looks Great. How big is the LDA33? I have one but less spots.
  22. I used to have really high phosphate levels and tried removing them with phoszorb and similar products but it just kept coming back, now that I feed my plants the phosphates have dropped to almost zero. I'm using Flourish Excel and another liquid fert(can't remember the name).
  23. As long as you keep up your water changes two will be fine, anything else in there? They are great fish, they always look grumpy. Mine get fed bloodworm, brineshrimp and every now and then shrimp pellet.
  24. My tank is probably a little small at 30Litres, I now have 3 puffers and 4 bumble bees and 1 otto. I have changed tank a month ago it was bigger but no room at the new house. Haven't had a problem so far, just doing big water change every week.
