  1. Anything more than 10L would be ok for a fighter. I would not recomend less because you want them to be able to swim around a bit
  2. you could use this http://www.holdfast.co.nz/resources/pdf ... 75_TDS.pdf
  3. What is the current like in the tank? If it is low you could up the current and make him use his tail a bit more
  4. I would say a bit warmer. I keep mine at between 26 and 28
  5. would like to point out something cool I found on one of HFF's pages. Now all we need is for shops to put a message like this on their "goldfish tanks" HFF - Would it be possible to add a note like this to your other products?
  6. If it is not OK then why do people not talk to one of the "reputable" shops on here before they start talking about Target or Fair Go?
  7. Would you consider this too small for gold fish? Juwel Korall 60 Goldfish Tank Package - $174.50 Size: 61 x 36 x 31 cm - approx 54L Complete with filter & lighting note: the picture on the box has 11 gold fish
  8. If it happens again try with chrome it is Ctrl & 0 (zero) to bring it back to normal
  9. I have after 2 days and did not have any problems but would recommend leaving it longer if possible
  10. Back on topic We have 4 of them in a 6 foot tank and they come out as soon as you turn the tank lights off. About half an hour before we go to bed we turn the room light on and the tank light off to it is not just light or dark for the fish.
  11. I would not say it is "tall poppy" it is more understanding other people and having a bit of consideration for others that don’t have the same ability as you do. Limiting picture sizes does not disadvantage you as much as not limiting them would disadvantage some people. The size limit is in there to be fair on people that don’t have the latest toys. Try to think of someone other than yourself and have a bit of compassion for those that want to be part of the group but would not be able to if you had it set up to best suit yourself
  12. hopefully when some are available here i a few years you will be able to get some
  13. Here you go David. (I even made sure it is the right size) p.s. Not in my bedroom and my mother can’t limit how many tanks I have as I have not lived at home in over 10 years
  14. Sweet that solves that problem for you then Yes I do keep fish and yes I have put up pictures in the past
  15. Maybe you should! It would be better than moaning! It is not had to do and there are still a lot of people that can not upgrade because they don’t have the ability to. I hate it when people think if they have it everyone should. Get in the real world and realise not everyone can access (or afford) broadband.
  16. Some people are just clever and dont need to study but still pass easy. Others need to study lots
  17. my link was purely because you said "never seen a modified 4age make anywhere near that"
  18. He sould get the car for that price then work on it over time
  19. I have never had mine on a dyno because I dont race it it is just a street car. But on a side note you should have a read of the link below. It is a nice little car http://www.performancecar.co.nz/article ... arfare-153 Performance: Dyno Power – 210kW at the wheels
  20. I have not run the car on a track so dont have any times but know it is quick. Judging by the numbers above it has a higher kW rating standard than the 118kW you mentioned above
  21. Standard civic (or integra) v standard levin? The Levin will win every time. for the engine size it is a good car. Having driven both I would never buy a honda. I had the displeasure of looking after a "tweaked" type R integra and it was horrible. It has the steering lock that is about the same as bus. Also for the amount of fuel they use in comparison to the Levin I would have (and do have) the Levin. Yes the Integra will be cheaper but it is cheaper for a reason
  22. I assume you are referring to the AE111 LEVIN it is not a Trueno it is a LEVIN!!! If you want some extra power you can improve the air flow by using 4 small (motorcycle) air filters on the intakes. Other thank that they dont need a lot of work to make them quick
  23. Thanks to all those that opened their homes to us. There were some very nice tanks and some very nice dogs/birds for us to play with. I was very impressed by all the tanks we had the pleasure to see and will be embarrassed when you all come to us.
  24. I take the simple option. I dont gravel vac because I am lazy and dont want to do it. The plants are happy and the filter only got changed because I wanted to remove the carbon as it is not needed. It was 3 months and the flow was still as strong as it was on the first day. In the tank amonia is 0 so not an issue for me
