  1. if you are going to do a Google link you should use this one http://lmgtfy.com/?q=map+159+Highbury+A ... ton+North+
  2. I would have loved to see that 8)
  3. Be careful with the fluval the one I had a habit of leaking every time I cleaned it. It is a 404 and i am aware that the 405 is supposedly better
  4. Who would that be? Most of the people that have made comment on here have owned multiple brands. There are some that say their cheap filter is fine without comparing them to a more expensive one. All the people so far that have supported Aqua One over the more expensive filters have said that they have owned both and still like the Aqua One.
  5. It that 440L Operating Flow Rate or Maximum Flow Rate. If it is Operating Flow Rate what is the Maximum Flow Rate?
  6. I think that some level of bypass is a good thing because if there is no bypass and your media clogs up too much you end up over working and damaging the impeller where the bypass allows for some water to get past even if is is not being filtered it will be cooling down you pump
  7. I am not sure about the smaller CF filters but the CF2400 has a pipe the goes through all the trays so water is sucked out of the bottom of of the filter and the pipe goes through at least 3 o rings to reduce the bypass. edit: I should add that I have 2 eheim 2213's that I have stopped using because they take too much to clean and the impeller shafts are too fragile compared with the Aqua one I use. Also any parts I need are a lot more expensive for the 2214
  8. The media supplied has nothing to do with it because you can easily replace it. I can understand the ehiem media is better but what if my CF has ehiem media in it? What makes you say Aqua one is rated without media? Do you have evidence of this?
  9. You are comparing a 2213 which is a 400 l/h with a CF1000 which is a 1000 l/h filter. Also the 2213 ony has to get the water through 3.5L of media where the CF1000 is getting water through 6.5L of media. If you want to compair apples with apples then you should be looking at the 2217 which is 1000 l/h and holds 6.6L of media. It also uses 20W of power compaired with the CF1000 that uses 20.5W Price wise the the Aqua one $156 and the Ehiem is $323.60 (prices from HFF & aqua one web pages) http://www.hollywoodfishfarm.co.nz/prod ... php?id=224 http://www.aquaone.net.nz/cart_product2 ... R%20FILTER
  10. Aqua one is 1 year, 2 years or 3 years depending on the model
  11. There is nothing wrong with the bling factor Did one of the filters have a slower flow rate because it picked up more crud than the other one?
  12. This could start a "which came first the Phoenix or the egg"
  13. A Phoenix does not hatch it rises from ash
  14. You could keep one in there for about 0.48669 days before you would need to put it in to a bigger tank
  15. The CF2400 filters are really good. The are easy to prime and start. As some have already said. They hold more media and have better flow rate than the eheim's of the same price. The old real difference I have found between the brands is the ehime owners like to be able to say "hey look at my eheim"
  16. Also need another FNZAS member to view so you can have your breeding cert
  17. Congrats. Are there more planned?
  18. The only thing I would worry about is the fish that will move it around but others may have a different opinion
  19. Check if it is magnetic or not. If it is it could cause issues with your pumps when stirred up
  20. Such a hard life being on the run with $3.8m
  21. For the example I used. Not saying "per annum" after every rate can cost the bank a lot of money so I would not say they are doing it without cause. The differance beteen saying it and not is huge. For eaxmple a $1m term depsoit for 120 days at 5% per annum pays $16,438.36 but the same without the per ammum pays $50,000.00. I would say that $33,561.64 is "just cause". Further to that think with they woudl say if it was $10m
  22. Yes but is is going to take a couple of years till they are mature
  23. I would be happy to but I would only do it if you were able to spend a day at my work which unfortunately can not happen. What is the pass rate for your exams? The pass rate for work is 100% any less than than that and I get a verbal or written warning. Even not saying "per annum" after every rate given is enough to get a written warning and guaranteed no bonus for that 6 month period.
  24. No more than they implied that they were the ones bringing the fish in to the country I chose my words carefully so that I did not say the ripped people off
