i love your plan sam, thats kinda what my husband wants to do. and then he wants to put a couple of females in the middle compartment to get them used to the males so when i put two together to breed they are familiar. love the design. our is a bit different. only have room for 6 males with a center piece.

my tank is an 22L aqua one tank. the filter is fine. i thinking of a airpump powered sponge so that my male fighter is not stressing with the current.

the filter is one where the water comes from above and i have tried and tried but i cant reposition it at all. he has a hiding hold. and the loaches seem fine this morning, im doing a full clean out later on too.will sort out a airstone.

umm i dont have a kit to test ph etc. i should get some. they are fine now. the water temp was 28degrees. the filter was going. no airstone, my fighter male has enough to deal with with the filter, he hates it, i put in a airstone and he wouldnt comeout of his home (a small helment) at all, it was far too much current for him. i lost a mystery snail yesterday, all my trumpet snails and 3 ramshorn snails. obviously snails dont like me. im going to look for a better filter with little to no current. might get a airsponge for him.

thats kinda what i was thinking, but didnt know how to keep the water moving and filtered with having a filter in each box. i will happily have two filters. how do i do water flow, do i need heaps of holes in the partitions?

both my want to die, they are swimming upside down at th surface and one of my mystery snails doesnt look so good.. dunno what the problem is. filter is going. nothing wrong there. my male fighter looks fine! water looks fine, not murkey. im lost. ive never lost a tropical fish before.

no good with silver sharks even if there is HEAPS of hiding places??/

the tank im looking at is a 5-6 footer long and 1 and half foot high and wide. is that big enuff??

thinking of getting some small ones for a tank. the nice fish shop said i can bring them back when they get too big for my tank and get smaller ones again. soo awesome. going to set up a LOVELY tank with a school of them, some neons and some other nice fish. would love a black ghost knife fish. they are awesome.

ive asked about fish heaps and hes always said, just add a few at a time.
