  10. i have an eel about 30 cms long approx. i have had it for about 11 years now. its been by itself the whole time, apart from when a river caught eel joined it briefly. i was wondering if i can add a goldfish or two to the tank. it aprox 2feet long by one high and one wide. would the eel try to eat the goldfish? would the goldfish try to eat the eel?? i dont want to upset the eel. is it okay to introduce fish to the tank seeing its been by itself for so long?? any one able to help me out?? dominique
  11. if so i would like to come and have a look please so i can see how to set it up. dominique
  12. thanks, how do i set it up? where do i get coral from? anemones? clownfish? bluetang? ive seen some sumps and they look complex. i worked a few years ago in a aquarium and they used a sand filter, very easy to maintain. can i get one of those for a small tank, its just a pipe coming out to a sand filter then going back up to the tank. the water is all contained in pipes or filter, not sitting in another tank under main one. can i have a small marine tank, like 2 feet long? i thought it would have to be huge. or can i make a marine tank out of any size tank. how do i keep it saltwater?? thats a big question. how big do i need to be to breed clownfish or bluetang and have some seahorses?? thanks dominique

  20. hello, im new here and wanting to start breeding the lovely bettas. used to have plain goldfish adn think it is time for something else. love the tropicals. from dominique
  21. i have heard lots of confliting advice about breeding fighters, ive been told that i must have two tank and remove female and then remove male once babies are free swimming. i have also heard i can leave the male with the babies and he will be fine. i have also heard that i can get a floating cage (with no holes) and float it in the tank as a breeding area and fry hatchery and growing tank. ive also heard that i can just have 3 females and one male in a tank and leave them to it and they will breed anyway. ive been told not to put other fish with them but others said as long as they are not aggressive fish its fine. can people help me out. i would love to breed them, but dont want to go into a HUGE setup expensive costs. i want to have these fish coz they are pretty adn im tired of plain fish. i thought it would be awesome for the kids to watch, them hatch etc. thanks dominique
