I use either glass cleaner sprayed onto news[paper or just damp newspaper. the paper menas you can elimate the fact of having that scungy ol rag leaving dust all over the nice clean glass :lol: B

The other possibilty is also that he may be fanning eggs in there, depending on howtight the gap is, specially if he is reluctant to leave the whole. My male and femaleb/n's don't even look at each other and neither of them have ever crammed into a tiny we hole. B

Hi Dave, The finer, dark gravel you saw in my tanks is from round seatoun, just a couple of shopping bags and a backpack if your brave. Or alternatively along the south coast round island bay and red rocks way. i find this stuff good as it is heavy enough for the fish not to disturb it, and fine enough for the catfish and fossickers to rummage through. Also the churning motion of the sea has rounded it al nicely and it is fish safe :lol: B

I have also seen and had, a pearl danio, quite a cool fish really. Those glowlight danio's are awesome, and I have a niggling feeling I have seen them, but can't be sure. B

I am under the impression and have been told that it can take up to 24 hours before you start losing enough bacteria for it to make a difference. Look forward to see the answers here. B

also "202 Clear" by holdfast is the one that I have used, and i thnk it is the best as it cures clear and doesn't go opaque once it's been in contact with water. B

The problem when fish are being harrassed is they get stressed and when they get stressed the tend to get diseased(i.e whitespot) and then it can spread to the other fish. I would considor another small tank, as even with a partition it can still feel like it is being picked on/intimidated. B

losing colour would indicate the stress levels going up, as most fish do this when you transport them, also my guppies go pale if the water is cold, so as ma suggested, check the heater B
