A BIG thank you too wok, who took me around aucks so I could (kinda) get my bearings, and also for showing me where to find the "dancers" iyt was awesome to meet you finally and to see your tanks, I have pics if people want to see them and it is ok with wok to post them, but won't get them up till I get back to welly on thursday evening. heres a pic of my new male I picked up friday afternoon, while "just looking" at the lfs and this pic is slightly better, shows the colours a bit better. I also have a female with a similar colour to here but she was shy and stayed hidden amongst the plants, so will get a pic when she shows herself. This is one of the young males from my last batch of fry. not a great pic, but it gives a good impression of the colours he has. B

Hi All, I am going to be in auckland Monday - Wed nights next week and the week following for work. I am staying at the carlton hotel and will be at a grafton road location during the day. If anyone wants to meetup while i'm up that way, either post here or send me a pm or email, I will have very limited travel options. If not I have a couple of good books as back up and and if I get really keen there is also the hotel gym and pool to keep me occupied. B

Hi all, I have an albino cory who lost it's mate to old age a couple of weeks ago, and now has a red rim round the outside of the eye, where it meets the body. The other eye is fine, and the fish is behaving normally other than spending a little more time closer to the surface of the tank. Anyone have any ideas what this may be. B

Well, the babies disappeared andi have moved the parents, I moved all six fish, i think I said I only had 5 but actually have 6. Anyway, they are all in thier own 3 foot tank now, complete with rock stacks and plumbing T sections, so there are plenty of little hidey holes for them, but I have also ensured there are planty of flat surfaces for them to lay the eggs on. So hopefully before long i will have another batch, in the new tank and with less fish, there is a better chance of them surviving longer. B

I worked all day today, managed to get the better half to chuck a tape and and record it for me. now all I have to do is find the time to sit down and watch it. B

have you considored puffers, I beleive they don't get as big as some of the others, and are a great predator to the snails in your tank. B

congrats Billaney on yet another spawning, man I really do need to organise myself a barrel to come and get some of that wainui water. :lol: B

Well out of 5 Fish I seem to have 2 pairs and the first to spawn are on thier second spawn and have got wrigglers in the main community tank. I don't think many, if any will survive and I am in the process of setting up a breeding tank. The new tank will be the same tank as the angels were in, and have moved them to a smaller tank now they know what they are doing. Hopefully i will have some fry from these guys in the very near future. B
