havnt got the instructions, got if free from someone who got out of fishkeeping ages ago, it had been in the garage for about a year but the impellor still goes and i got it working for a little bit,
its a Via aqua professional
well ive broken the cross bracing in the center for my tank and when its full it creates a appoxx 5mm gap in the break. question is, how to fix it. i tried to dodgy it up useing some cut up metal coathanger and 5 min araldite, useing the coathanger as reinforcing but that only held for a week or two.
was thinking that i could get some plastic glue and try that, or can you replace the whole top plastic bit?
How could you! if anything you should open a second can, add the rest to complete the 400ml and drink the rest of the nearly full can. isnt half the reason you do baking is to taste the ingredients as they go in?
i went through the tour there and was a good trip, got to see all the baby prawns and feed some youngins. they heat the ponds by pumping the river water through the big plant thing nextdoor,(thermal power plant possibly) to heat it. they had a display tank or 2 set up with their biggest prawn. went fishing there twice, once we caught enough to full a plate and the second time i only got one. best thing is is that the park will cook what you catch.
i guess you could allways ask them about shipping live ones to you
ps they even have some tropical fish in the grow out tanks (from memory they where plecos)
sandpit sand? a friend of mine used builders sand in a native tank and they all did well with it. no reason not to use it, and it will look a bit more real than a bright white sand
yes thats the stuff, how do i get rid of it? ive only been having the light on for a few hours a day since thats turned up, it was on for about 12-14 hours a day before that.
well ive got a 2ft tank setup with a sword of sorts, a java fern type plant and 4 other cheep things, the tanks set up with UGF and the gravel and plants just seem to get covered in this green gunk. is it happening because ive got UGF therefore too much o2 in the water and not enough co2? or would it be from the lighting, a twin bulb fluro that just sits ontop thats hardly been on this week.
also my sword type thing isnt really playing the game and the leaves are all going brown/yellow and dieing
cheers, ive since seperated most of them and now found that all the marbles are males and the blue one (first pic) is a girl, will try get some more quick photos now of them, its amazing how much theyve changed in colour
from what ive read, what can happen is that the co2 can replace the o2 in the water and cause the fish stress and poss die. so not the best thing in that term.
na tank seems fine in terms of numbers. ild be worried about the male fighter though, having dannios, guppies and swords in there, these fish might nip at the fighters fins, but there is allways tanks where they dont bother the fighter.
so i brought some ' albino glowlights' from the LFS and in the theme of naming the fish the right thing im unshure that it is a glowlight and not a black neon as these fish where not labeld and there was other albino black neons in the shop.
so, how can you tell the two apart?
