  1. Hey Ash Kinda back... more being nosey to see how all the breeding etc is coming along how is all yours going? still into it?
  2. you would have to break it down to two lots or send it via a freighting company as most weight limits are 25kgs
  3. Lol... well in a box it would prob take up a box around 1000mmx600mmx260mm the jars weight 1.050grams each so be just over 30kg for all 30.. just measured jars and they hold just over 1500mls
  4. if your keen we could measure and weight them up to see what shipping would be.. i think i payed like $2 each for em
  5. I got them from a local Beta breeder in CHCH the jars the jars look to hold aprox 2 litres and are about 150mm in diameter and 200-250 tall.. they might even hold 3 litres.. i just thought they were a good size for Seperating fry as alot more space than most cells have. the jar does have a embossed brand on one side but small price really They are large preserving jars... Where abouts in nz are you? shipping would be the only issue if you wanted them i were going to put them on trademe as I have about 30 of them going unused
  6. are you still after jars for Betas? Ive got prob 30 or so 2litres preserving jars.. they are round but strong i were going to use these for my beta breeding setup when i were breeding but went unused only thing im in chch
  7. yes i found made the fighters happier and spawned better ... also made the bubble nests tougher and eaily made for them also if they got any battle wounds during the spawn process it helps heal
  8. yup looks that way... mine on trademe are over half the price tho keep me in mind for more.. as even with courier and shippign im stil alot cheaper Kris
  9. the tea bags arent too bad to get imported.. but the leaves are alot harder to get thru MAF.. Im no longer going to import these as dont have the time I havent had any purchases today that i can see as of yet.. im in chch
  10. hey guys PM me if your keen on some indian almond leaves for breeding/ conditioning stil have a few left and MAF have made it very hard to get these into the country now .. have available as leaves or teabag varietys also advertised on trademe but will work out a deal for FNZAS members to help out

  12. what you can do is soak the bottle in a tub of water.. maybee scrub the label a bit to score it let it soak till the paper rubs off then use methelated spirits to remove the glue and you should get a clean unscratched bottle
  13. what i did with some of my fighters.. i used 3litre juice bottles instead .. that way giving them about 2.5litres of swimming room.. plus they have square sides so you get more viewing space in the tank... downside is to get a lot of them u need to drink lots of juice!!
  14. make sure the holes are small iv done the coke bottle thing and learnt the hard way as some of them try swim thru the holes.. once they are in there they are hard to get out without harming them.. i lost a few this way i find lots of small holes are better than larger ones
  15. id just chuck em in the tank... wouldnt bother boiling them but thats prob the easiest way of doing it i find the best way is to use the tea bags if your after black water use the leaves for breeding etc good luck brett sounds like ur doing well
