    no its not for some veg like brussell sprouts the colder the better.

    Why not grow your own winter veges? otherwise a good layer of pea straw or sawdust i have also used coffee grindings from my mates restaurant which also makes it smell nice he just got the staff to put aside and i got two big rubbish sacks full.

    Well i for one have found Johannes Visser to be outstanding in regards to advice on keeping tropheus. He was happy to call me after hours and spent at least an hour on the ph with me going through all the things i need to no from feeding to water quality rite through to which ones are best suited together etc and on top of that it was costing him money as it was a toll call. Just thought i should put a buyers point of view forward.

    i just got 8 caramba and 8 ikola and they are growing very fast cant wait till they colour up.

    its not the first time, we used to have a bar here years ago called vinnies and the actual bar was a tank with goldfish in it and you could choose your own fish for ya shooter didnt float my boat but once the novalty wore off they got rid of it.

    my rubber lip pleco would be at least 10 years probablt closer to 12 but cant be certain.

    used to listen to the rock but cant stand lea panapa so i now listen to radio live which is great

    very nice wats the substrate called?

    white spot cure works well mate and dosnt put other fish at any great risk you will probably get away with only having to dose the tank twice but if you need to do a third do a water change before hand.if ya had a diatom they help aparently they are able to filter something as small as white spot out.

    you should be working for DOC mate people like you could make a real difference with your knowledge and the passion you have in regards to our wounderfull critters we have here.

    Yay finally my red humps have spawned and the female is holding so fingers crossed.Now i just have to get my balzaniis to spawn as well.There is a bit of a problem though its in my large comunity tank a virtually impossable for me to catch the female so they fry will just have to fend for themselves although there is heaps of wood and plants in there.

    i feed mine bloodworm/trout pellets/white worm/corgette/koi floating pellets/and they also get stuck into the algae disks that i put in for the plec's and cory's
