if they were the bigger fish i dont see a problem but google the specific species your looking at keeping and see what ya can dig up as i think there are a few that like acidic water but i have kept lots of different types over the years in all sorts of conditions and thay are very hardy and adaptable in my opinion

i just removed paint from the back of a tank a week ago and just used a razor blade scraper but i wet the paint with water first and it came off without any effort at all...just make sure the blades are nice and sharp.i bought the scraper from placemakers

i have kept the new guinea red rainbow in brackish before with puffers archers mono's and knight gobies and they were fine.i wouldnt feep any of the smaller rainbows in brackish though.

yea but world of waters prices are a bit dearer than the goldfish bowls.

the first thing i would do is try and get him into his own tank so he can heal as if hes left in there he will die for sure...it could be either of those doing it. so there are no other fish at all? just the peacocks and the yellows?

fav colour black and turned 37 today.um into fishing soccer fish landscaping my house bbq's and beers fish fish fish.um i also keep newts and have a cat named floyd.also hanging out with my son who is also into fish in a big way.

yea i love them had them brred many years ago the males are wicked.hopefully you can breed them what size are they? if you need to thin them out at any stage please let me no.

yea i forgot about the name change...have already done that im hoping some will get traded in some where.but have also got cliff (goldfish bowl) emailing me the fish lists so i can go through them and see if some turn up on there and i will get him to bring in for me.on the upside i get to see all the other fish available at the time as well.

was just wandering if anyone knows where there are some for sale in the north island? or if someone can let me no when they do come across some weather it be now or in a few months time size dosnt matter.cheers in advance i hope someone can help.

well i have an undergravel running my 350 ltr planted tank and its sweet as the plants are doing very well....filters are a bit like the holden ford thing some swear by one and say the others are rubbish and someone else will argue the oposite point especially when it comes to undergravel.

i have the same prob with my twig cats and rubber lip pleco although i dont have them with oscars but the redhumps and heckelii are greedy eaters so i just put in algae chips just before i turn the lights out. that way the bigger fish just go to sleep and the cats all come out and graze at there own pace..i also feed strips or corgette and wait them down with a bit of plant lead which none of the cichlids are interested in.

well said david your a man after my own heart....as a society the sooner we take a look at ourselves and take responsability of our own actions instead of looking to blame someone else the better off we all will be.do you remember the home invasion of beverly boma a few years back were they raped her while her husband was there then killed her? well her husband died a few years after from cancer which probably developed through the stress he suffered from it...well the guy who killed her has been out for a while my mate just arrested him the other day for selling P so i ask the doo gooders where is the justice in that and further more so much for rehibilitation...mind you they would probably argue he is rehibilitated as he hasnt killed anyone since just dealt a bit off P.

I think we are missing the point it dosnt matter weather they were taking p dope booze the fact of the matter is they took someones life and most probably have ruined allot of others as a result.Im sick and tired of all the excuses from mamby pamby doo gooder's ok.Iv been to jail for DIC and i excepted that and didnt complain after all no one made me drink the beer and no one made me hop in my car and drive after ward, knowing i was over the limit these are decisions i knowingly made and excepted responsability for.im not going to blame my up bringing or say i was hit as a child i just excepted that i was in the wrong and moved on.The problem is we no longer have victim support in this country it has gone full circle and its now criminal support. And all the doo gooders bend over backwards making excuses why these guys have done this, and iv had enough of these silly people - edit Billaneytelling me that we need to rehibilitate them they dont deserve it we need to focus on what the victim deserves and not the gutless criminals do as far as im concerned when you kill someone in cold blood like that you loose your rights as a citizen.

i agree with everyone and if it were up to me they wouldnt even get a trial i would just shoot them. there is no place in society for drop kick loosers like that and the sooner we get a backbone as a country we will be able to deal with these gutless thugs and all be able to feel safe again.

take her down to ya local chinese takeaway you may be able to recoup some of your dough lol....i truely feel for ya though but you gotta draw a line in the sand sooner or later.if you dont like the first option and as shes so good at catching fish perhaps there is a future for her on a fishing trawler.

nah big tank and iv kept that ratio before and they were fine i currently have 1 female red hump and 3 males which is interesting to watch
