    Keep the MH lighting. Algae should not be that much of an issue, apart from when you get your nitrate spike. All you'll need to do is change the spectrum of light if the bulbs are above 14000K. 6500K and 10000K is good for a halide. Let the T5s handle higher spectra.

    Good things take time! :lol: I'd suggest adding CO2 but that would be a futile attempt in your tank. If the plants are happy and don't need more light, just let the grow. There isn't much more you can do. Get PMDD from hans, but still its all going to be waterchanged out any how.

    I got mine too! I got a matt version, and its not all that different to the gloss(minus the shine). the gloss was nicer, but seeing as the content hasn't changed, it is still all good

    It's not his diagnosis. Coral is alkaline (OH-) in nature and thus raises pH.

    ask for what you think they are worth. A while ago i sold a stunning red rose discus, and asked for $200 on here. no real bites, and it lasted a whole 20 minutes on trademe after I listed it. someone accepted my buy now. I *think you have melons IIRC. I'm thinking maybe the 120+ mark for a good non stunted well grown specimen that is relatively large - on trademe, less on here.
