    Fry safe fish

Cories, maybe. Plecos, bristlenoses, etc all should be fine.
  2. Bad choice for such a tiny tank, They grow big, swim fast and are a schooling fish. Really shouldn't be in anything smaller than like 6 feet.
  3. The correct process may in fact involve overthrowing the government and setting yourself up as ruling warlord, but still. You follow the process it can be done...
  4. The law/MPI/MAF etc doesn't care if you think they shouldn't be a pest and shouldn't be illegal. They care if you can prove they won't be. I'm sure if you can do that, and follow the correct process they will be added to the import list.
  5. You could, will help keep them in a confined area. Also try manual focus, more light and narrower aperture to give a wider DOF.

    NSW Replacement

No, most local NSW if anything you need to decrease it by adding RO water. I recall it generally being around .028, at the very top of the suggested range. Though, you're probably better off using it straight unless you have something really touchy. Save you some work.
  7. You generally find new fishkeepers stress about getting the water conditions exactly right, worry about making sure their poor little babies have all the exact environment so they're nice and comfortable, use only treated tapwater to clean the outside of the glass because spit and a paper towel might alter the PH... Fishkeepers with 10+ years experience are more like, "Time for a water change?" Dunk bucket in in the tank, dump it out on the lawn, refill with the hose. Oops, threw fish flopping around in the lawn, better throw him back. Don't care, he's a bastard anyway...

    NSW Replacement

Yup, pure RO water, it's literally one of the first few things mentioned in any marine tank care guide.
  9. If you don't want to get rid of any then get a 600 or so liter tank.
  10. Female...Which means she's a bristlenose without a bristley nose.
  11. These are chillers. http://www.hollywoodfishfarm.co.nz/product/page/chillers/m/1250/
  12. The trout pictures aren't too bad, so I'd say 2-3 clear pest fish pictures.
  13. I got fish. Some bred. They were morons and kept getting stuck.

    Odd snails

I haven't had much luck propagating ramshorns, but the ones I got off someone to try and breed were in the 10+mm range. Significantly bigger than your average pond snail or malaysian trumpet snail. Given good growing conditions they'll grow to be the biggest of the three. (Apple snails obvious MUCH bigger)

How are you supposed to get the pictures off it? What kind of camera is it? It literally couldn't be much easier. Log into photobucket. Click on Upload. Drag and drop the photo onto where it says "Drag 'n Drop photos & videos here" Once done uploaded click on the photo or go into "Library" and click on it. Then click on "direct" on the right hand side. That loads the address so you can paste it. Come back to your post on the fishroom, click on "img" up near the top. Paste the address between the {img} and {/img} tags. Submit. Here, an example. It took me literally about 60 seconds to create an account, figure out how to upload a picture, upload it, figure out how to get the link and then to post it.

Sounds like it should have a manual. Plug it into the computer with the cable that came with it, if that fails read the manual. Get a photobucket account. Go to photobucket.com, click "Sign up" and follow the instructions.
  17. There are a lot more chemicals and wastes in the water than nitrate that plants don't remove. Would you be happy to swim around in a septic tank even though a nitrate test comes back 0?

    red jewel cichlid

Sure. Hemichromis Bimaculatus, I believe. Though, looking just now my current two look more Lifalili? Though, I'm pretty sure all the ones I've had(And have) were Hemichromis Lesbialus. All female, still tried to breed... Mostly mid to lower levels. Yeah, anything quick or relatively tough should be ok.
  19. Hanging from the ceiling isn't very efficient, you have to punch holes in the ceiling and have them dangling, you hit your on them all the time. And I already have a shelf going from one side of the room to the next a bit below the ceiling to put them on.
  20. Problem being too many space consuming addictions. I need a bigger workshop... &c:ry
  21. Generally a betta and guppies won't go together well. The siamese fighter will usually kill the guppies, they'll attack any longfinned fish.
  22. I think, if you're wanting to have partitions for the equipment I'd suggest just the corners rather than the entire back. A triangle on once side of about 200mm should be heaps. That way you're not wasting nearly as much potential area. Also, Google drive, boooooooo.
  23. How do you know they're dwarves until they're grown up?
  24. Yeah, best to build a new one. Would you trust that with a small car on top people bumping into it?
