  1. Put another hole lower down on the other side of the tank. That way you have the lower drain as the primary and then the current higher one as a backup in case the lower one gets clogged so you don't overflow the tank pumping water up from the sump.
  2. Just noticed today...I've had hundreds of little white threads floating around my tank, thought it was probably just some little fragments from plant leaves and debris. Just now realized the apparent wiggling wasn't just due to the current. Turned off the pumps so the water is calm...Yup, definitely hundreds of little squirmy worms floating around in the water. Never had a noticeable amount of them before.
  3. Yeah, if those are cracked or broken, it definitely would decrease the amount of air they pump through the diaphragms. Not sure superglue will work. If you don't want to just replace them I'd suggest something more along the lines of reinforcing them with a couple layers of light fiberglass cloth and thinned epoxy.
  4. Have you tried getting a rebuild kit? The valves and diaphragms do wear out.
  5. I'll sell it to you for $400.
  6. That tiny of a tank, you're probably pretty full up. Maybe a few more of the danios given that they're schooling fish and best kept in larger groups than that.
  7. Ideally you'd mix them into water first, stir it up until everything is dissolved and then pour that into the tank. You're stressing over nothing, they're not particularly dangerous chemicals. Keep them in a sealed container, don't eat them, don't breath them. Avoid exposure to mucous membranes, etc.
  8. No you don't need to use it, you'd use it if you had green water or a disease. If you don't have either it doesn't do much.
  9. You have a moderate sized tank, small bioload, lots of water changes and you keep absorbing the nitrates, etc using nitrazorb? I'm not surprised. Just keep doing water changes for a week or two, stop complicating the process by adding chemicals and nitrazorb. It should be cycled in another week or so.
  10. Wavemakers, powerheads, filters, airpumps...The vibration doesn't seem to bother them a bit. Some will react when you first turn it on, but then they ignore it.

    Fill my tank

That definitely wasn't a bristlenose. Not even remotely big enough for 7 discus. Not to keep them properly anyway.

    Fill my tank

Red severum, green severum, 2 bristlenose plecos and 6 giant danios.
  13. Pretty sure I've heard mention of people here with them though. And aren't flowerhorns a hybrid which includes Trimac? They get in somehow...
  14. Hmmm, estimating the shipping size looks like it would be $28.70 shipping...So $230 shipped?

    Sad day

Good, Seals are much better than blues.
  16. That size will probably be ok, maybe get two. I have a Jebao RW8 in my tank, it's a 120cm 400L. Moves 8000LPH . So, probably would be very roughly similar current as that little 3000lph one in yours. I could do with another in my tank.
  17. Should be fine, just as long as you use a dechlorinator to get rid of the chlorine first. Most people, like me, the last thing they'd want to do is contaminate their nice clean rainwater before putting it into their fish tank.
  18. Yes. Yes. Just get some tropicals in the tank in the next few days or they'll starve to death anyway. And keep an eye on the ammonia the first few weeks.,
