  1. Ohhh....No, I haven't licked any frogs in ages.

  3. Is that the good connotation of bollocks or the bad? I don't remember seeing any complaints about it, or any major alternatives.
  4. Never heard of it, doubt it's available. Any reason you want to use it vs Dalton's Aquatic mix which is easily available?
  5. Basically they're inbred with a genetic disease that causes massive deformities making them far less healthy than the normal breed.
  6. You say you have the stock AR980 lights? In that case fertilizers aren't likely to be the limiting factor in your plants growth, so more fertilizers will just grow more algae. You may be better off with more light.
  7. You should flush it. They're waaaaay too high maintenance, also noisy and smelly. Do you have any idea how many times a day you'll have to do water changes just to keep them happy? Get something like a gold severum instead.
  8. Yeah, should be fine bettas are pretty timid except males when they see another longfin fish.

I do about 14 hours. If you're not getting a lot of algae, turn the lights on for longer, if you are, cut it down.

So, too hot for them then. You really need a chiller for natives, you can get away without most of the year, but that's not really ideal.
  11. Based on this pic: My first advise would be to drain the tank and put it on a proper stand that supports the entire base. You're asking for it to get cracked and flood your house.

  13. Yes. No, there will be barely any salt in it, and salt is not toxic. Hose off any sand and debris, throw it in the tank. And drop a rock on it to sink it until it stays sunk. YW.
  14. Well...I thought the difference in flow was noteworthy, even if no one else does. :slfg: I'm half tempted to get another, it looks like the fish have managed to adapt to the extra 8000 lph.
  15. Your nitrites/NO2 is very high. What's your ammonia level? I suspect pretty high too. Sounds like you need a bit more cleaning and water changes.
  16. As long as the water temp doesn't drop by more than a few degrees you'll be fine. But 50% it's probably going to get pretty chilly.
  17. Just a quick video of the tank with just the m820 running and then turning on the RW-8. Ignore how cloudy the tank is, some moron was dumping a little food out of the container last night and accidentally dumped WAY too much. Bonus shot of my jewels I've had for 2 weeks in the pot they've spawned in...
  18. I dunno, I'm reasonably confident Benjanssss is trolling us.
  19. Daphnia, mosquito larvae, dragonfly larvae, water boatmen, hallucinations, alien spawn, take your pick.
  20. Well...Injected I suppose if you stretch the definition enough to include injecting DNA into the cells. But, no, like others have said, totally different genetic engineering vs squirting ink into them through needles.
  21. Let him have the turtles, eels are cooler! :slfg:
  22. It's difficult to be sure with the complete lack of punctuation, but pretty sure that was meant to be a question. "Is there?" rather than a statement, "There is."
  23. Aquis CF1200. No, airstones are only for people that like noisy, irritating airpumps because they don't have a filter that properly disturbs the surface or they like pretty bubbles. What lighting are you looking for?
