The thermostat must be broken becuase now its just heating and heating. I will probably unplug it soon and just heat the room and do what firenzenz suggested.
I will go to the LFS tommorow because its not exactly driving weather.
Woke up this morning to find the heater in my 34litre had broken and it was down to 14 degrees!
It was the worst possible time as there is about a foot of snow on the ground right now.
I quickly did a water change with warm water and its now up to about 22.
I have lost all 5 of my neons and the head and tail light tetra isnt looking good. I am very sad about their deaths.
The heater is still broken I think so I need to keep the tank warm. Any things to do to keep the temperature up? I will turn the heater in the room on.
Keyholes Probably. It is very hard to find rams that dont die. If you really want rams look for NZ breed ones. They are sometimes on trademe.
The shark has to go, well at least if you want to get guppys and tetras.
I agree with spidersWeb kribs can be pretty varied. If you do decide to do both, have somewhere else to put the corys if it dosent turn out.
Also kribs are pretty easy to sex. Do you want them to breed, why not only get one sex?
I would say cardinals and adult BN first because they will be the hardiest. Then the corys and finally the whiptails and loaches. Thats how I would do it with maybe a week or two between introducing each fish.
Yeah Ive covered the hole in the lid where it jumped out from now.
I cant decide if I should get another one but then I am afraid I might end up buying more.
I woke up this morning to find one of zebra danios dryed up on the floor.
It was one of my first fish and I havent had anything die for a long time. I am quite sad about it actually.
The other one now seems very sad and loanly, tryed to play with the lemon tetras now.
I knew danios were known to jump but is there any thing that triggers them to like stress or boredom?
Maybe its like one of those finger traps, yopu can get in easily but not out.
Have you turned off the filter? Try taking the pipe out of the water and see if the fish falls out.
Hope it getts out eventually.
