  1. And you can't beat ending the ceremony with Mendelssohn's Wedding March.
  2. Drunkard's Prayer by Over The Rhine is a beautiful song... You're my water You're my wine You're my whiskey From time to time You're the hunger On my bones All the nights I sleep alone Sweet intoxication When your words Wash over me Whether or not Your lips move You speak to me Like an ocean Without waves You're the movement That I crave And in that motion I long to drown And be lost not to be found You're my water You're my wine You're my whiskey From time to time
  3. Me too. Found someone I went to school with on there, Martha Sayers, are you on this board?
  4. I LOVE those little froggy cupcakes, so cute!!
  5. we got the Canon EF50 and I don't think it was very expensive, around $180 I think and we find it fantastic.
  6. Lovely photos! I loved Currumbin when we went a couple of years ago. I thought it was better than Australia Zoo. Did you go there too?
  7. Fantastic photos! We have the 400D and find it really great, and recently bought a little fixed focus portrait lens, not expensive and that is a great thing to get if you can.
  8. I should probably add that I definitely don't condone her 'chucking on the lawn' form of euthanasia. Especially when I have offered to take the fish off her hands and she just can't be bothered bagging them up. Sigh.
  9. Congratulations! Love to see some photos when you're ready
  10. Thanks for the offers everyone, and big thanks to fishybiz who even came up to my house with the bouncer and visited me and my little wee baby. Really lovely to see someone from the outside world!!!
  11. Thanks heaps Mystic but someone on the forum is going to collect it this weekend and bring it to Wellington for me next week. I really appreciate the offer though. What tanks are you buying? You're not getting Alex's 4ft are you?
  12. OH sorry I realise someone has mentioned this already
  13. I have bought a baby bouncer from Trade Me and stupidly had not actually thought about the fact that I can't drive up to Raumati to collect it because I am pretty much house bound until my little baby has had immunisations. I am more than willing to pay $15 petrol to anyone who would be coming that way and could bring it to Wellington. My husband could meet you in town any time, anywhere.
  14. Thanks for all the offers. Thankfullt the people who bought the change table decided to come and collect it today. It was one of those auctions where you state it is 'pick up only' and then the buyers ask you after they've bought it how much shipping is. Grrr.
  15. I have a friend who 'euthanises' fish she doesn't want by chucking them on the lawn.
  16. Leave a review of the company on www.nocowboys.co.nz
  17. You could include pick up and drop off as part of your service? That is waht I have done with a few people.
  18. Childcare is hard to come by. Would you consider contacting Porse to find out if they need any short term caregivers for other children. They love Mums as caregivers because Mums tend to have all the know how and also appreciate how precious children are. If you have two extra children for say 3 days, and even if you only charge $7 per child per hour, you'd have your cash. I do it almost full time and it is a great way to earn money.
  19. It's a baby change table so about the same size as a hall table or coffee table. I would say most people won't have the space in their car now that I think about it.
  20. I have a small item of furniture which needs to be transported from Wellington to Wanganui - anyone going that way in the next week or two? I will pay $20 towards petrol. Let me know. Cheers
  21. 1880g or 4lbs 2 ish oz. He is a whopping 1990g now though
