  2. Does anyone here keep these? What size tank do a pair require? How large do they grow? I saw 2 in my LFS and they are so beautiful I just wanted to find out more about them.
  3. It's actually to get tickets to Flight Of The Conchords who are doing a one off fundraiser in Masterton. Tickets go on sale on Thursday morning only at the Masterton info centre!
  4. Oh why didn't I think of that. Simple as! thank you!!! :bounce:
  5. I want to extend the tubing slightly on my Fluval 405. Just on the part where the outlet goes into the water. A few days after a water change, once a few millimetres of water has evaporated, the sound of the water outlet drives my husband nuts, so I need to put the outlet under the surface of the water (and I have bought another pump for another water stone to compensate for the loss of oxygen). Where can I buy some more tubing and a little joiner thing?
  6. I had a cat couldn't get enough of rubber bands. Just the smell of her made her all loopy, her eyes glazed over, and she was blissed out.
  7. Rozski that photoshopped one of yours looks like a vintage postcard.
  8. Portofino............................................................................Pub in Ireland
  9. A passionflower in Avignon............................................................My son
  10. Wow there are some amaaaaaazing photographers on this board! Mine aren't very exciting and are mostly portraits rather than landscapes but here are some of my favourites.. The kids I look after (my son in centre)..................................My aunt on her 107th birthday last month with a bout of giggles
  11. We have one which visits our small garden in Wellington suburbia around March - May each year to feast on our doves I am sad to see any of our doves killed, but they breed like rabbits so easily regenerate by the next year, and I feel privileged to see the Falcon sitting out on the swing set or the play fort.
  12. I use it every week for my cichlid tank and no problems and that is with usually about a 50% change. When I put the hose in though it is on a slow trickle and I add water ager when the hose has been in there for a bit. Not sure if that makes a difference though.
  13. Halo but only cos I've never played the other one
  14. Yeah I am with you on this one. And surely any halfwit knows that the supermarket's free carpark is only for use when you are shopping at the supermarket, sign or no sign. If the sign is inadequate, sure that's a pity but does anyone actually park in the supermarket carpark to shop elsewhere and stop to check their signs?
  15. Yeah but just think, it might be cheap but it would have an american accent, refer to muesli as grenola, and wouldn't have a clue where NZ is (broad sweeping generalisations notwithstanding).
  16. I LOVE Matinee Idle. I look forward to it all year! Geez Mark that sounds just ghastly, I hope you have a good union representative.
  17. I agree with all the Samsung fans. I have a 40'' Samsung LCD which we've had for two years now (yes the price we paid compared to how much they are now is heartbreaking but then if we'd bought it now we wouldn't have had two years use of it!) and it is just fantastic picture quality. We plan to buy a 32'' Samsung next week for the bedroom and we have a Samsung washing machine too, fantastic stuff!
  18. Haha love it!! I hope you've got a weedeater too! Much less soothing than the sound of the mower.
  19. Awesome Mark I was waiting for some photos from your new lens! Who thought a fly could look so beautiful!
  20. Oh guys that really sucks, hope you can enjoy Christmas and that the insurance company will come to the party re the bike!
  21. God I wish I was working on Christmas Day. I used to love Christmas Day when I was younger but now it is just a mess of unpleasant family dinners, tantrums about getting the wrong present (child? No, my father in law) and my mother blaming me for everything under the sun. I have made my husband promise that next year we will go away to a faraway beach with a caravan and have Christmas just with us and our wee boy and no one else. Happy holidays everyone
  22. Looks great Warren, what a lot of work it has been for you. I hope you have a relaxing Christmas!
  23. It looks like one of those things babies like to look at
  24. It looks so beautiful, clean and colourful, it almost looks like CGI! (in a nice way I mean)
