  1. Someone always posts this at Christmas so I thought it was about time! I love reading about what people are doing for Christmas! So, what are everyone's plans for Christmas Day? What do you hope you get from Santa? Any family traditions? Are you going on holiday for the summer? Here's mine: We are having my family and my husband's family over for Christmas Day. It also involves collecting my 107 year old great aunt from Waikanae and dropping her home afterwards, which adds about 3 hours driving to the day but is definitely worth it! We'll do the usual, roast lunch, pressies, and this year we have a new baby which will add a new dimension. Looking forward to watching our 5 year old open his millions of presents I have collected for him over the last year. From Santa, hmm, I would really like a full night's sleep! But failing that, I'd love a Wii but I think Santa isn't feeling that generous this year due to lack of funds!!! As for holidays, we had a week booked in the Coromandel but have ended up cancelling because I know my grumpy wee baby won't handle the hot weather/beach etc so we are instead going to housesit for friends in Auckland for a week and take in some sights we have never seen before, Kelly Tarlton's, Piha, Matakana. And of course HFF!
  2. Animalz in Petone or Hutt Pet Centre in Lower Hutt.
  3. Hmm, I think I will give it a miss then. Never mind the fish, I have a newborn baby and 5 year old and I also look after children in my home full time. At least I'll get lots of exercise with the fly swat.
  4. Does anyone use this product? - the one that sprays a mist of pyrethrym (sp?) insect repellent into the room at regular intervals. I am wondering because they say to keep it away from fish tanks which aren't well covered and I am not sure how well covered they need to be. We get a LOT of flies in the summer, most likely cos the dumb neighbour puts meat on his compost heap and won't stop no matter how many times we ask. Plus the dovecote in the garden probably attracts a few.
  5. I'd go for a Honda Odyssey. SO much space and 7 seats if you need them.
  6. sleeeeeeeeeeeeep (as in i need some!!!)
  7. It's a miracle any of you are still alive!!!!!
  8. ok now i don't like him. my little man is 13 weeks and regularly gets me up 3 times!!
  9. I have two spare 1000lph filters you could borrow while you're away for extra filtration if you like.
  10. I used to always use Persil Black for black clothing but didn't really see it making any difference compared to just washing black stuff separately on a cold wash.
  11. Lessen (that is different from Lesson).
  12. I picked up an electric yellow today and when I got him home I noticed this marking on his face, like a 5 o'clock shadow or some sort of fungal thing.
