  1. Yeah, have tried it. seems to work OK. I used rabbit droppings when my friend had a rabbit. He doesnt have a rabbit now so dont use them.
  2. Remind me never to ask you for a quote for something then. If thats how you judge customers. Anyway, back on topic, In this day and age of electronics, isnt it expected to have the odd glitch here and there? In the old days, mail used to get lost just as easily. I remember on my way to work one morning I was held up as a NZ Post truck rolled spilling its load everywher. Im sure there were people who never recieved their mail then. No different now, its just our expectations are so much higher.
  3. Cryptocoryne pontederiifolia with a spathe on the way. Have yet to see this one(in the flesh) so waiting with anticipation
  4. Here is a beckttii that I planted a few months ago outside. As can be seen it is still growing even though the temperature outside is certainly alot colder that this plant is used to. Admittingly the leaves have gone a bit smaller( they werent big to start with as it is outside with lots of light) I deliberately left it out to see how long it will survive. Im quite impressed.
  5. I agree. Thats why I use Hotmail for my emails. My Xtra email account was driving me insane by putting most of my emails into junk/spam folder when they were not junk/spam. And has Aquila stated, it is easy to look at your emails wherever in the world you may decide to look at them.
  6. I know its dragging up an old post of my own, but I thought I would update it with the names of the unidentified plants that this post was asking. Mainly to help if someone else searches the plant names or is looking for an ID themselves. Ottelia ovalifolia Commonly known as Swamp Lily And the other is the submersed form of Veronica anagallis-aquatica (water speedwell)
  7. Kribs, pelvicachromis taeniatus?
  8. Where did you get those rocks?
  9. I had a similar problem with Genesis and changed to contact. enesis would not send me a bill one month and them double bill the following. Their excuse was the previous tennants wanted the bill sent every two months. But when we started we got them every month. Go figure! Then we would get two seperate bills for gas and Power which meant we were not eligible for dual Utilities discount. That started about a year after we moved in. They cant explain why that was happening . Then I got disconnection notices for not paying my bill for two months, yet I had the receipts to prove it. I got into several heated arguments with useless people at Genesis who couldnt see what they were doing wrong. I told them to get stuffed and then joined Contact. No problems there and I even get a discount for recieveing electronic bills instead of paper. But the cost of the power was slightly higher( although with all the price rises its the same as what I was going to be charged by genesis if I stayed.Just that Contact was first to increase the price) HTH BTW, get the bill emailed to you. Saves the headaches
  10. That tank is truely amazing. I love it. In fact I like all your tanks your have shown so far. Well done Simon
  11. Just went into the fishroom at the right time. Wondered why some of the glosso was uprooted. After a closer look , the EBRs are laying in a small pit in the sand.
  12. Im lucky to use more than a couple of gig a month. I struggle to see how people can use multiple TB per month.
  13. I know of someone who used to have it, but it is pretty rare in NZ
  14. Common bully (Gobiomorphus cotidianus) http://www.niwa.co.nz/our-science/fresh ... mmon_bully It was following the light around
  15. Alan, stop encouraging a minor to drink!
  16. Looks good. I would seperate the L.Nouve Zelandia a bit more. Its planted in too closer bunches. You will prob need a bit more light for the Ludwigia. I like the sand.
  17. I apologise about the dirty glass. The only light this tank recieves is from the window behind it. The algae grows on the glass. Its food for the shrimp and it looks more natural that way in my opinion. I found a cool tree stump a week ago and have added that but it is too big in my opinion. May have to get rid of it as it takes up most of the tank
  18. Time is something that I never seem to have enough of.
  19. Cheers, Hope you enjoyed my Blog Caryl and Zev, Ill send the bill for the advertising LOL
  20. It breakes quite easily. I imaging with your lighting it will get eaten faster than it will grow. Shame though as its such a nice plant.
  21. Sounds like you have two males. If one was a female you would see a definate colour difference. Here is my female in breeding dress The tail slapping is normal and is common in territorial spats and/or breeding rituals. They are neat fish
  22. The first pic appears to be some type of Orchid. I may be wrong though.
  23. I got my issue and started to read that article thinking cool, I like articles like this. I got to about the second paragraph before I thought "have I read this before" And then the realisation hit me
